Retrofit Meets Robotics.
With expertise, innovation, and teamwork, a dedicated project team at Innerio Heat Exchanger's Kottingbrunn site transformed existing forming equipment and a robot into a modern, fully automated production cell.
Through smart cell design, retrofit engineering, and robotic handling, a previously manual process was successfully automated and optimized for high production volumes, short cycle times, and maximum process reliability.
The robot now performs the complete handling of parts between the individual process steps. Already during the concept phase, the cell layout was digitally validated using 3D planning and reachability checks, laying the foundation for an efficient and seamless implementation.
This project demonstrates the tremendous potential that lies within existing equipment when engineering expertise, automation, and teamwork come together. The result is a future-ready manufacturing solution that combines efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.

Retrofit trifft Robotics.
Mit Know-how, Innovationsgeist und Teamwork hat ein Projektkernteam von Innerio Heat Exchanger am Standort Kottingbrunn aus bestehenden Umformanlagen und einem Roboter eine moderne, vollautomatisierte Produktionszelle realisiert.
Durch Smart Cell Design, Retrofit Engineering und Robotic Handling konnte ein bisher manueller Prozess erfolgreich automatisiert und für hohe Stückzahlen, kurze Taktzeiten sowie maximale Prozesssicherheit optimiert werden.
Dabei übernimmt ein Roboter das komplette Teilehandling zwischen den einzelnen Prozessschritten. Bereits in der Konzeptphase wurde das Anlagenlayout mittels 3D-Planung und Reachability Checks digital validiert – die Grundlage für eine effiziente und reibungslose Umsetzung.
Dieses Projekt zeigt eindrucksvoll, welches Potenzial in bestehenden Anlagen steckt, wenn Engineering-Know-how, Automatisierung und Teamwork zusammenkommen. So entstehen zukunftssichere Fertigungslösungen, die Effizienz, Nachhaltigkeit und Innovation miteinander verbinden.
