🏭 iPIC solutions on CTP projects in Prešov

CTP continues to expand its industrial and logistics capacity in Prešov. Alongside the existing CTPark Prešov South, the new CTPark Prešov North project further strengthens the region’s position as an important logistics and industrial hub in eastern Slovakia.

For one of the industrial buildings, iPIC solutions delivered a mechanical smoke and heat extraction system, designed for the safe removal of smoke and combustion products in case of fire.

The end user of this facility is DE JONG Prešov — currently the most modern and largest production plant for stainless steel water tanks for heat pumps, as well as the only fully automated production of its kind in Europe.

Projects of this type require reliable technical solutions, precise coordination between disciplines, and high-quality on-site ex*****on.

Triblavina Logistics Center | Hall C

Triblavina Logistics Center in Bernolákovo is one of the key logistics developments located directly next to the D1 motorway between Bratislava and Trnava. Thanks to its strategic location near the Triblavina exit, the complex is designed for logistics, warehousing, and light industrial production with a focus on efficient operation and modern technical solutions.

As part of the Logistic Park Triblavina – Hall C project, iPIC solutions provided:
• design of the smoke and heat exhaust system
• delivery of the devices
• installation of the NSHEV system

The project utilized Firelock DUO devices, designed for natural smoke and heat exhaust in industrial and logistics buildings. The double-flap solution provides high aerodynamic efficiency while allowing seamless integration into modern roof systems of large-span facilities.

🛠️ Fire safety is not about assumptions, but about numbers.

🏭 iPIC solutions part of another awarded Building of the Year 2025 project

In Horná Streda, a modern production facility focused on the future of electromobility has been developed – the Porsche Smart Battery Shop.

The project received an award for the application of science and research in design and construction as part of the Building of the Year 2025 competition, highlighting the importance of innovation and advanced technologies in industrial construction.

iPIC solutions s. r. o. was also part of this project, delivering the smoke and heat exhaust system (NSHEV) for the building.

We are pleased to have contributed to another project representing the cutting edge of modern industrial and technological construction.

iPIC solutions part of the awarded Building of the Year 2025! 🏆

Did you know that in Prievidza you can find a grocery store open 24 hours a day, built as a unique timber structure? 🛒

The COOP Jednota Prievidza retail park impressed the professional community so much that it received the Union of Towns and Cities of Slovakia Award at the prestigious Building of the Year 2025 gala evening for its contribution to urban development. The jury particularly appreciated the investor’s courage to revise the original concept and deliver modern civic amenities in an ecological design.

We are proud that iPIC solutions was also part of this exceptional project. Our role included the delivery and installation of a smoke and heat exhaust system (NSHEV), ensuring fire safety throughout the entire building.

What makes this project unique?

🔥 FireFans smoke extraction fans in the iPIC solutions portfolio

FireFans fans are part of our smoke control solutions, designed for smoke and heat extraction in demanding fire conditions.

The fans are available with a resistance classification F300 or F400 according to EN 12101-3.

They are typically used in:
• underground parking garages
• industrial buildings
• logistics centres
• commercial buildings

They ensure controlled smoke transport – both horizontal and vertical, helping to create safe conditions for evacuation and firefighting.

Combined with our NSHEV systems, they form a comprehensive smoke control solution for buildings.

Bigger opening ≠ better smoke extraction

When designing natural smoke and heat exhaust systems, it’s not as straightforward as it may seem.

What truly matters is not the geometric size of the opening, but the aerodynamic free area (Aa) – the actual performance of the device in smoke extraction.

In practice, this means that two devices with identical dimensions can have significantly different efficiency.

For designers, it is therefore essential to focus on:
• Aa value
• certification according to EN 12101-2
• performance verified by real testing

With NSHEV systems, the rule is not “the bigger, the better.”

The rule is: designed based on performance, not size.

We are starting work on one of the most significant projects of this year.

iPIC solutions is proud to be part of the LogisOne Valaliky project for the developer Sibareal, where we are delivering a comprehensive natural smoke and heat ventilation solution – from design and engineering through to full implementation.

In the first phase, more than 600 Firelock MONO units will be installed, forming a key part of the system designed to safely extract heat and smoke in the event of a fire.

We truly appreciate the trust of the investor and the opportunity to contribute to a project that represents an important logistics hub in the region while meeting high standards for fire safety engineering.
