55 Years of Wick-Machinery: A Celebration of People, Technology and Community
Anniversary celebration at the Himberg site brings together three generations
Himberg, September 4, 2026 – Wick-Machinery celebrated its special 55th anniversary in style at its Himberg site on September 4. Numerous guests of honour from the worlds of politics and business, customers, suppliers, partners, employees and their families accepted the invitation and turned the anniversary celebration into a memorable gathering.
Among the guests of honour was Otto Auer, Member of the Lower Austrian Provincial Parliament, who attended the celebration representing Governor of Lower Austria Mag. Johanna Mikl-Leitner. Also present were the Mayor of Himberg, Ing. Ernst Wendl, and Deputy Mayor Manfred Mitzl. Vera Sares, Mag. (FH) Mario Freiberger and Johannes Hausenberger attended the celebrations on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce.
A brief presentation of Wick-Machinery’s latest highly flexible filling and packaging systems was, of course, an essential part of the occasion. It provided an impressive demonstration of how Wick-Machinery has developed over the past 55 years and how the company will continue to focus on innovative, flexible and practical solutions for its customers in the future.
Wick-Machinery’s technology played a role not only in industry but also in the culinary highlights of the celebration. The Palatschinkenfreunde Himberg, the reigning Austrian national champions in pancake flipping, prepared their specialities for the guests. The batter was filled into the pan in true Wick-Machinery style using a dosing pump. The jam filling was also carried out with the help of dosing pumps, using the PD and FG models.
The Schwechat Municipal Band, conducted by Thomas Wirth, provided a festive yet lively musical setting. With a refreshing mix of traditional and modern pieces, the band accompanied the celebration and made a significant contribution to the festive atmosphere.
The Palatschinkenfreunde Himberg delighted the guests with their freshly prepared specialities. The combination of local club culture, culinary expertise and Wick-Machinery technology gave the celebration a particularly personal touch.
In addition to numerous customers, suppliers and other friends and partners of Wick-Machinery, the families and children of the company’s active employees also took part in the celebration. The company’s retirees were warmly welcomed as well. They regularly attend company events and enjoy bringing one or two memories from earlier times back to life.
