The aerial view of Gentari Australia's Maryvale Solar and Energy Storage Project is an incredible reflection of what has been achieved onsite, but the team photo is the one we are most proud of.
Behind every installed panel, completed work area and successful stage of construction is a team of people who turned up every day and worked together to deliver the project safely and to a high standard.
As our time at Maryvale begins to wrap up, we would like to recognise everyone who has played a part in bringing this project to life. It has been a huge team effort and another project our people can be genuinely proud to have delivered.

We are proud to have collaborated with our supply partner Sungrow on the successful delivery of this 1.2 MWh hybrid retrofit, strengthening the site’s flexibility, efficiency and long-term resilience.

The project involved upgrading six existing PV inverters to SH110CX hybrid inverters, each paired with a 200 kWh PowerKeeper battery. Together, they now provide 1.2 MWh of energy storage capacity.

This project is a great example of how collaboration and innovative technology can overcome grid constraints and support smarter, more efficient renewable energy generation.

Another significant milestone has been achieved at Gentari Australia's Maryvale Solar and Energy Storage Project, with Solmech successfully delivering a key stage of our installation scope.

Over the course of the project, our team completed 32 blocks and installed close to 48,000 torque tubes, delivering each stage of the works with precision, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

This achievement reflects the dedication and professionalism demonstrated by our team throughout the project. Their commitment to safe work practices, quality workmanship and collaboration has been instrumental in delivering this milestone to the high standard expected by our client.

As the project progresses, this milestone stands as another example of what can be achieved through strong teamwork, technical expertise, and a shared commitment to excellence.

A significant milestone has been achieved at Gentari Australia's Maryvale Solar and Energy Storage Project, with the final of over 51,000 piles now successfully installed.

Completing a piling program of this scale requires careful planning, consistent ex*****on, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Throughout the project, the Solmech team has remained focused on delivering each stage of the works efficiently, maintaining high quality standards and ensuring safety remained at the forefront of every task.

As the project progresses into its next phase, our team are proud to have played a key role in laying the foundations for an innovative and much needed hybrid renewable energy project.

Solmech were proud to recently attend the Wellington 150th Show, celebrating a huge milestone for the local community.
PCL Construction organised for trade partners to support the event through donations, as a way of giving back and showing appreciation to the local community..
We were please to be allocated a tent at the show, giving us the opportunity to showcase the success of Gentari Australia’s Maryvale Solar and battery project and chat with locals who were interested in learning more about the work being delivered in their region.
A big thank you to Francisco Bossetti, who attended on behalf of Solmech and had a fantastic day connecting with the community.
We’re proud to be part of a project that not only contributes to Australia’s renewable energy future, but also supports local engagement, local employment and strong community relationships along the way.

We recently wrapped up a great day of filming at Gentari Australia’s Maryvale Solar & Energy Storage Project, spotlighting the skill, hard work and enthusiasm found in the region.

Providing regional opportunities has always been a big focus for us throughout the Maryvale Project. It’s not just about filling roles but creating real opportunities for local people. We take pride in helping others work in the renewables industry, learn new skills, and live in their community.

Working alongside PCL Construction and partners Joblink Plus, has allowed us to connect with local workers and businesses. Importantly, it has helped us get people job-ready and onto site, providing them the support they need to grow and learn.
SOLMECH are proud of what’s been achieved so far and are even more excited to share the final video once it’s ready.
