We are an Adelaide based welding and metal fabrication business specialising in general fabrication and maintenance of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium products.

A bit of workshop detail from Nate, our third year apprentice.

This 30mm mild steel base plate weighs more than 100 kg. Before welding, the mill scale is cleaned off and the plate is preheated with oxyacetylene.

The pipe roller then turns the plate through 360 degrees, allowing Nate to stay in the same 1G position and keep the weld consistent.

Every steel item has its own requirements. Curtis, one of our site supervisors, explains how the team plans the welding process for this piece, including how to manage the shrinkage and distortion that can occur as the steel cools.

By using internal gussets and tabs, we can control that movement and work towards the best possible finish.

Meet Juan, one of the Project Managers behind our Grenfell Street student accommodation project.

While the workshop gets most of the attention, there's a huge amount happening before fabrication begins. Juan's role is making sure every trade is working from the same plan, coordinating the structural steel package, and keeping the project moving before the first section is cut.

One project. Ten individual sections.

Projects of this size aren't fabricated as one complete piece. Each section is built individually before coming together as the finished structure.

Every connection is engineered specifically for the job, with each weld completed to a defined procedure to achieve a seamless finish.

We’re excited to announce the award of another major project with SYNERGY CONSTRUCT.

Our scope includes the supply and installation of approximately 16 tonnes of structural steel across the multi-storey development, including steelwork for the ground floor canopies, main entrance, lift beams and roof structures supporting solar panelling.

The structural steel will feature both exposed architectural elements and concealed structural components, depending on the area of the building.

We’re looking forward to bringing this project to life and working alongside the team at Synergy Construct.
