Mount Pleasant took delivery of a new 24P today.

The new Mount Pleasant 24P is based on a 2023 Isuzu FTS 150-260 chassis, is 4 x 4 and carries 2000 litres of water.

It is fitted with a six speed Allison transmission & Allison retarder.

Built by Fraser Fire and Rescue, it is fitted with a Deutz BF4L2011W motor / Darley HE500 pump.

It includes additional safety features to protect firefighters, including a halo system (water deluge system) and an in-cab breathing system.

The new heavy appliances also include air conditioning vents for the crews in the rear seats, as well as those travelling in the front of the cab.

It comes fitted with an LED light bar and an Engel fridge, and equipped with a Milwaulkee chainsaw, Milwaulkee quick cut saw, Ramfan Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) fan and a Tirfor winch.

It replaces the existing 23 year old Isuzu based Mount Pleasant 24P, which will be re-allocated to another brigade.

Well, what a week at AFAC 2026, not only did we showcase the newly designed and built Heavy Urban Pumper for the SACFS on a Scania 4x2 Chassis, we as also launched in collaboration with Volvo Trucks Australia, the brand new 4x4 Volvo FL Urban Rural Pumper, for the NTFRS. A huge shout out to Team Fraser Engineering for all their hard work, time to take a breath, re- set and go again.
