Creating local community landmarks.

A 15-tonne Franna brings all the muscle, but landing a delicate piece of art right on the millimetre comes down to the person on the levers. When machine power and operator finesse come together, even the trickiest lifts look simple.

We were out on the corner of Labrina Avenue and Pulsford Road in Prospect helping install Resilience, a public sculpture by Matt Turley that celebrates the Golden Wattle as a symbol of growth and resilience. Getting this piece sitting perfectly in the new roundabout took steady hands, soft slings, and a lot of care from our Franna crew.

At the end of the day, meaningful community landmarks are made by local people, for local people. We take real pride in using our gear and experience to help bring these lasting pieces into our local neighbourhood streets.

Sunrise, sundown, and into the night.

In heavy lifting, every project moves through a careful sequence from start to finish.

Our crews are out there in the early morning running pre-starts and setting up equipment before the sun is fully up. Midday brings steady focus as heavy loads are placed on site. And when the job calls for night work, the floodlights roll out and our evening team takes over to handle complex lifts while traffic is quiet.

It takes a tight process and a solid team to pull together across every shift, looking out for each other and ensuring every hook moves safely.

Controlling massive structures high above the ground!

Check out our team in action as we lift and assemble transmission towers for regional power grids.

Handling these steel lattice structures takes serious skill and precision. Our all-terrain mobile crane hoisted pre-assembled sections high into the air, holding them completely steady so the riggers on the tower could safely set and bolt each section into place.

It is always a proud moment seeing our crew seamlessly control these huge engineering marvels on site!

October is National Safe Work Month!

Before any hook moves or any load is lifted, our team takes the time to run through pre-start safety briefings on site. Taking a moment to talk through the job, identify hazards, and ensure everyone is on the same page is what keeps our crew safe and operations running smoothly.

A big shoutout to our operators and site crews for keeping safety at the absolute forefront of everything they do!

We were wrapped to host Joe Szakacs MP Szakacs MP (Minister for Transport and Infrastructure) and Cheyne Rich MP Rich MP (Member for Port Adelaide) at our Wingfield yard this week!

The visit celebrated a huge milestone for the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project, with over $2 billion in contracts awarded to local SA businesses.

Fleurieu Cranes is proud to be part of that story. At peak periods, we have had up to 15 cranes operating across the project, keeping operations moving safely on the ground.

Projects of this scale give local businesses like ours the confidence to keep growing, investing in new high-capacity equipment, and backing local jobs.

Throwing it back to last month's SA Variety Bash! 🛑🚗

We were proud to get behind Charlie Luckcraft, Kelvin Tiller, and Team Elmo for their epic run across the state back in August!

The boys took their trusty 1996 Ford Falcon on a massive 2,300km trek across South Australia—starting in Gawler and powering through the Mid North and Eyre Peninsula all the way to Port Pirie.

The SA Variety Bash brings together over 100 themed cars to raise vital funds for South Australian kids living with sickness, disadvantage, or disability. Team Elmo set a huge goal to hit $50,000 for the third year in a row, and we were wrapped to help sponsor their journey.

A massive effort from the team, and a huge shoutout to everyone involved in making a difference for local kids! 🙌

Shoutout to the hard-working crew at Fleurieu Cranes!

This week is all about celebrating our team and showing appreciation for the effort everyone puts in every day.

To kick off Fly the Flag Week, we hosted the team from MATES in Construction SA at our Wingfield depot for a hotdog lunch. Working in heavy lifting and construction means looking out for each other on and off the site. Having the MATES SA team drop by gave our operators, riggers, and depot staff a chance to connect, learn more about site-based mental health awareness, and reinforce a culture where backing your mates comes first.

A huge thank you to MATES in Construction SA for coming down, and an even bigger thanks to our crew for always having each other's backs!
