After completing the largest maintenance package to date, followed by four weeks at sea putting the ship’s company and systems to the test through operational evolutions and work-ups, we’re excited to see HMNZS Te Mana depart Devonport alongside HMNZS Aotearoa to join 31 other nations at RIMPAC 2026.

We’re proud to be the Strategic Maritime Partner to the NZDF and play our part in ensuring these two ships are ready and active to join the partner nations in the largest global maritime warfare exercise.

From today until 3 June, Australians are invited to reflect, learn and take meaningful action. This year’s theme, All In, is a powerful reminder that reconciliation is something we must actively build together.

We’re committed to supporting meaningful pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and proud of our long-standing partnerships with:

🔹 Engineering Aid Australia, empowering over 1,000 First Nations students through engineering education

🔹 Yalari, where we’ve supported scholarships and pathways for students from remote and regional communities for over a decade

These partnerships are driven by people, purpose and shared commitment for opportunity and equality.

Because reconciliation doesn’t happen by chance, it happens when we’re all in.

We are proud to announce our partnership with KiwiHarvest, an organisation dedicated to reducing food waste and nourishing communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.

With over 21% of Kiwi children living in households where food runs out, their work is crucial in ensuring families have access to nutritious meals.

Through this partnership our staff will volunteer with KiwiHarvest utilising their Kia Atawhai (Be Kind) leave, where they are entitled to two days per year to volunteer with a charity or community organisation of their choice.

Our partnership with KiwiHarvest reflects Babcock International Group’s commitment to Social Investment through building thriving communities and empowering our people and is a meaningful way for our people to directly contribute to their communities.

We are excited about the positive difference this partnership will drive, both for the communities KiwiHarvest supports and for our people.

A huge congratulations to the Grange Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) for their impressive second-place finish at the South Australian Junior State Championship this past weekend.

Earlier this year, we proudly partnered with Grange SLSC by donating three brand new boards for their Nippers, ensuring that the next generation of lifesavers had access to top-notch equipment.

It’s terrific to see these young Nippers using the boards to sharpen their surf and water safety skills, and their hard work truly paid off with this fantastic result.

Keep up the good work, Grange SLSC!

Alan Griffiths is one of our Air Crew Officers (ACO) operating in Rockhampton on our CapRescue partnership.

In the video below, Alan talks about his progression from starting as a Rescue Crew Officer at 25-years-old, to his current role as an ACO today. He talks to how much he enjoys life in Rockhampton and also notes that no two days are the same with each job providing an opportunity to learn something new, “plus it’s very cool!”

Last month, Ambulance Victoria’s MICA Flight Paramedics, supported by our aircrew, faced a challenging rescue on the Mornington Peninsula when a teenager sustained a serious leg injury after falling from a five-metre cliff. With the situation demanding action, Air Ambulance Victoria’s helicopter was deployed for a precise winching operation.

Navigating strong winds and tricky terrain, the skilled team worked diligently to ensure a safe extraction.

This incident highlights the expertise of our team in performing challenging winch rescues, allowing the young patient to receive the medical care he required. We take great pride in our commitment to protecting lives and making a difference in the communities we serve.

Check out the footage of this remarkable rescue featured on 9NEWS.

Thank you to Ambulance Victoria’s MICA Flight Paramedics, and to our dedicated Aircrew, for soaring into action to provide critical care to a seriously ill patient at fire-affected Yarck last week.

Even under the toughest circumstances, these crews ensure the community is safe, delivering vital care to those in need.

We’ve seen so many stories of courage in Victoria in recent days and we’re proud to stand alongside our emergency service partners in protecting our communities and state.

Heroes on the ground and in the air, with our HEMS response into fire-ravaged Yarck on Friday night to retrieve a seriously-ill patient.

Season’s Greetings from all of us at Babcock!

This year has been full of progress and innovation, and we’re excited for what’s ahead in 2026.

Thank you to our incredible teams, customers, and partners for your continued support and collaboration - we wish you a joyful holiday season and a successful year to come.

If you’re heading out on the water this holiday period, you can feel confident knowing Victoria’s emergency response teams are ready and at the top of their game.

Babcock Pilots & ACOs, Ambulance Victoria MICA Flight Paramedics, and the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard came together seamlessly for annual water winch training in preparation for the busy summer months ahead.

Our Managing Director of Aviation and Critical Services, Duncan Milne, got to witness it firsthand, experiencing the teams in action, practising advanced techniques to ensure swift and effective rescue operations in challenging aquatic environments.
