Natural gas has been part of everyday Aussie life for decades - heating our homes, cooking our meals and providing toasty hot showers. It’s dependable, it’s fast, and it just works. At Australian Gas Networks (AGN), we look after the pipelines that keep gas flowing safely to more than 1.4 million homes and businesses. But we’re not just about today, we’re also working on tomorrow’s energy. As part of Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG), in South Australia and Queensland, we’re already blending 10% (by volume) renewable hydrogen into our networks in Tonsley (Adelaide) and Gladstone (Queensland). And in 2026, Hydrogen Park Murray Valley will open. As one of Australia’s largest hydrogen plants, it will focus on supporting industrial decarbonisation by utilising AGIG’s existing gas networks and a certificate-based system. Our vision is to deliver infrastructure essential to a sustainable energy future. We’re excited to bring households, businesses and communities along on this journey with us.
