Paul has extensive experience with gemstones and began in the gem industry as a successful Sapphire miner in Australia before applying his expertise to ventures in Kenya and Tanzania. He rapidly discovered new gem deposits, has named several new variations of gem species and has operated several gem mines in remote East African locations. rong bonds with the Maasai and has spent extended periods living in the bush with them and represents the Maasai's interests as an International Ambassador. Paul has a young son named Gachomo who is half-Kenyan. Paul holds tribal standing in both the Maasai and Kikuyu tribes and speaks Kiswahili. His African name is Kinuthia. Elite Gemstones has offices in Nairobi and Chanthaburi in Thailand and has access to high-grade gem material from all continents, as well as a sound knowledge of lesser-known aspects of the gem industry and latest industry developments.
