✅ Project Completion – River Torrens Linear Park Bank & Scour Protection ✅

We’re proud to announce the successful completion of works along the River Torrens!

💧🪨 These works not only improve the stability and resilience of the riverbank, but also protect surrounding infrastructure, pathways, and natural habitats.

👏 A huge thank you to our team and Project Partner City of Charles Sturt and the Project Superintendent WGA (Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec) for their hard work and collaboration during the delivery of this important project for the community. We would also like to acknowledge the City of West Torrens for their assistance in safely accessing the location.

These improvements provide long-term benefits for the community by making the area safer, protecting shared pathways, and ensuring the park remains a vibrant and accessible space for future generations.

🦺 Safety is more than a protocol – it's a culture.

Last Friday, we held our Biannual Safety Day, bringing together teams across the company to reinforce a message that sits at the heart of everything we do: Everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard at work.

The day focused on more than just procedures and policies. It was about:
✅ Empowering our people to speak up and ask for help
✅ Reinforcing the support systems that are available across the business
✅ Encouraging open, honest communication within teams and project groups

We’re proud to work in an environment where psychological safety is just as important as physical safety – and where conversations about wellbeing are not only welcomed, but encouraged.

A huge thank you to Paul Ploenges from Absolute Safety Solutions, Mark Evans from SA Water, and MATES in Construction for their valuable contributions to the day. Your insights and support made a real impact.

Together, we’re building a stronger, safer, and more connected workplace.

🌿 Before & After: Creek Rehabilitation Success 💧

What a transformation! Take a look at the rock gabion repairs and construction we’ve recently completed along an embankment of Dry Creek.

✅ Stabilised banks
✅ Improved waterflow
✅ Revegetation and erosion control
✅ Reinstatement of shared use pathway

The once dry and eroded channel has been restored to a healthy, flowing waterway – improving water quality, enhancing biodiversity, and creating a safer, more resilient environment.

In construction, bridges connect people and places – but reconciliation calls on us to build something even greater: understanding, truth, and unity.

This theme reminds us that reconciliation is not a straight road. We've taken steps forward, faced setbacks, and yet – now more than ever – we must walk together with purpose.

We commit to continued reflection, growth, and partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples – not just this week, but every day.

Together, let’s build strong foundations that honour the past, engage the present, and shape a better future.

What a night! 🎉 Members of our senior leadership team attended the CCF Training & Industry Awards on Friday – and we’re thrilled to share some great news!

👏 Huge congratulations to our very own Stephen Hulme, who took home the Quiet Achiever award and to Sebastian Wauer, who was named runner-up for the Future in Civil award. We're incredibly proud of both of you!

We were also extremely proud to see the Harry Wauer Memorial Award – Civil Construction Apprentice of the Year nominations and winner announced – an award that holds special meaning for all of us.

A big thank you to Civil Contractors Federation SA - CCF SA for putting on such a fantastic evening celebrating talent and dedication across the industry.

🚧 National Road Safety Week 2025 🚦

This week, we shine a light on the vital role civil works and traffic management teams play in keeping our roads safe — not just for drivers, but for workers and pedestrians too.

Every cone placed, every detour planned, and every barrier installed is a step toward preventing accidents and saving lives. As we carry out essential infrastructure upgrades, safety remains our top priority — because everyone deserves to get home safely.

Let’s respect speed limits, obey signage, and stay alert in work zones. Your caution protects the crews on the ground and ensures smoother journeys for everyone.

🚧 Project Update - River Torrens Linear Park Bank & Scour Protection 🚧

Fantastic progress has been made!

✅ We are now out of the creek bed, with the weirs successfully removed. Recent rainfall has brought water levels back to their pre-construction levels, marking a key milestone in the project.

🚶‍♂️‍➡️🚲 We're now commencing the stormwater component from the St. James Development, and look forward to re-opening the shared use path in the near future.

Once again, a big thank you to our Project Partners - City Of Charles Sturt, City of West Torrens, WGA and the Heritage Monitors from RAW Group - for their ongoing collaboration and support.

📢 Stay tuned for more updates!
