MLEI Group has been appointed by 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 to project manage the delivery of Bight and Tiri Bridges in NSW, following our team’s work on the strategic, concept and detailed designs.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝘆𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿.

Hugh joined OSKA Consulting Group in 2019 and is based in our Brisbane office. Over that time, he has developed broad civil engineering experience across subdivision, townhouse, commercial, industrial and government projects.

His experience includes civil design, stormwater management, drainage, roadworks, earthworks, sewer and water infrastructure.

Hugh has also recently achieved Chartered Engineer status and RPEQ accreditation, recognising his technical capability, professional experience and continued development.

His promotion reflects the contribution he makes to our projects and clients, along with the growing responsibility he has taken within our civil team.

We are pleased to welcome Mike Perry to MLEI Group as our new IT Manager.

Mike brings more than 30 years of technology experience, with a strong background in engineering environments. His experience includes IT leadership, cybersecurity, infrastructure, digital transformation and business systems.

As our Group grows, so does the importance of the systems that support our people and projects. Mike will work across the business to strengthen our IT capability, improve system ownership and help ensure our technology remains secure, practical and ready to support future growth.

This World Mental Health Day, the theme “𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱: 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲” reminds us of the importance of listening. People experience mental health challenges differently, and meaningful support needs to recognise those differences.

Good leadership plays an important role. So does creating a workplace where people feel heard, have access to the right support and know where to turn when they need it.

In a consulting environment, safety extends beyond immediate physical hazards. High job demands, workload pressures and fatigue, including travel fatigue, all need to be considered.

Managing these risks means planning work carefully, monitoring workloads and creating a culture where people feel comfortable raising concerns early.
