CRCNA

We are experienced knowledge brokers, communicators and project managers who work collaboratively with industry, government, research organisations and institutions, regional development organisations, Non-Government Organisations, Small and Medium Enterprises and international partners to resolve barriers to investment and development across northern Australia.

Projects funded by the CRCNA must demonstrate strong linkages to industry, either by securing cash or in-kind contributions. Having the support of industry associations and organisations shows the research is supported by the people and organisations who will benefit from the outcomes and may encourage broader adoption of the recommendations and outcomes. Some of the expected benefits from our current projects include:

· increased employment and training opportunities, especially in Indigenous communities

· increased profit margins and productivity gains in the northern agricultural and food sectors

· increased market access into Asia for products grown in the north

· a more robust and targeted approach to identifying quality investors and future market opportunities

· improved health service delivery to rural and remote communities in northern Australia

Our collaborative model means we are uniquely positioned to work with and across all levels of industry, government and business to make meaningful, evidence-based contributions to broader policy and planning initiatives. This work is undertaken in collaboration with the Northern Australian Senior Officer Networking Group (NASONG) with the intention outcomes support and inform the Northern Development Ministerial Forum in identifying solutions to overcome barriers to development and investment.
