📍Progress update: Somerville SDA Project

Great things are taking shape on site! Our team is deep into construction on 5 purpose-built SDA homes for our client, Somerville — from steel frame going up to reinforcement being laid for the next stage of pours.

Today we had the pleasure of hosting Amy, Somerville's General Manager of Operations, on site to see the progress firsthand. Amy shared just how life-changing purpose-built accommodation is for their participants — particularly those in wheelchairs who finally get homes designed around their needs.

Moments like this are a great reminder of why we do what we do. Every stud, every slab, every measurement taken brings these residents closer to a home built for them🙌🏽

Great to have Mayor Sid Vashist and Minister Marion Scrymgour out on site yesterday for a look at how the Tennant Creek Student Boarding Facility (Papulu Pika Pikka-ka) is coming along! 🏗️

Concrete slabs are down and we are officially out of the ground. This one’s going to make a real difference for Barkly kids who need a safe, comfortable place to stay while they get their education at Tennant Creek High School.

Proud to be the local Territory business building this one for our community. More updates to come as the build progresses! 👷

🏡 This week we were proud to host Somerville Housing, along with Hon Steve Edgington MLA (NT Minister for Housing, Local Government and Community Development) and Chansey Paech MLA (Member for Gwoja), to showcase the progress of our 5 NDIS houses for Somerville.

These homes have been architecturally designed by Susan Dugdale & Associates, incorporating the highest level of NDIS standards and inclusions - delivering genuinely purpose-built, accessible housing right here in our community.

Great to see this project taking shape, and thank you to everyone involved in bringing it to life. 🙌🏼

Last night, the Congress Mparntwe Health Hub took out four titles at the NT Architecture Awards — and Asbuild were proud to be the builder behind it.
To see a project built right here in Alice Springs outshine in the Territory is something else. This wasn't just an architectural achievement — it was a community one. A world-class health facility, designed and built on Country, for the people of Central Australia.
The four awards say it all:

Another productive week in the Barkly region! 🏗️

Progress on the Tennant Creek Boarding House is moving along nicely — well on the way to getting out of the ground! This week the team has been busy with underground electrical conduits installed, plumbing under floors underway, and concreters commencing footing excavation. Great work all round.

And a very special shoutout to our Site Manager Geoff Muller — wishing you a very Happy Birthday, Geoff! 🎂 Thanks for your outstanding leadership keeping the project on track. We're grateful to have you on the team!
