This shaft lining is a great example. Our customer supplied the casting, and we took care of the rest, including precision turning, milling, internal countersinking using our horizontal and vertical borer.

This one for , a truck deck frame drum brake skid, came to us ready to build.

Our job? Fabrication done right 🥽

Working with the team, an additional requirement was identified - ventilation holes - and we’re now marking it out ready for drilling to ensure everything runs as it should.

That’s where experience comes in.

Out-of-spec? No problem.👌

Recently, our team stepped in to resolve an urgent break in works caused by overseas‑supplied structural columns that didn’t meet specification and wouldn’t fit inside the fish plates on site.

We hit site, assessed fast, and got to work - the first beams back on site the same week.💪

✅ Machined a taper for fit-up
✅ Added a 45° cut for weld clearance
✅ Delivered clean install with minimal disruption

Another job sorted. Customer back on track and happy! 😁

At Dalzell & Bagley Engineering, recognising strong work ethic and commitment matters.👌

March Employee of the Month - Amwersen Sukumathy
Amwersen went above and beyond during multiple customer breakdown jobs, returning late at night to complete urgent machining and help get customers back up and running. He is always a versatile employee. Happy to oblige, when asked to change jobs or cover and complete other work that needs finishing. On quieter Fridays, he is always Neal, our Production Manager’s go‑to person for support.

April Employee of the Month - Glenn Stewart
Glenn continues to show steady improvement as he moves through the later stages of his apprenticeship. He’s taking on new tasks, working closely with his leadership team, and approaching challenges with a positive mindset as he builds his skills and output.

Well done to both, a credit to the DBE team. 🙌
