LIVING WITH DESIGNS THAT ARE TIMELESS
[*a throwback to this brochure, which is now closer to 25 years old - we still operate to the same standards]
"Of the many ingredients that make this brochure distinctively Fasham, one may seem too trivial to mention. It is this: the brochure you hold in your hands is 10 years old.
We're proud of that fact.
Why be proud, you may ask. Isn't it perhaps time that we brought our material up to date?
And that is just the point. Our brochure is up to date. Right up to date! It encapsulates a design philosophy that is as modern and relevant today as it was 10 years ago, when this brochure was written and produced. Better yet, it is a design philosophy that, on the evidence of the twenty-six years that we have been in business, will still be modern and relevant 10 years from now.
Take a good look. Read the words with the same care with which they were written—by one of our architects in fact. And then ask yourself whether you know of any other builder in Australia whose design philosophy is as timeless. Any other builder with the conviction to sustain in print a brochure a decade old. Any other builder so free from the dictates of fashion that its designs are never out of fashion.
We don't know of one.
So...in 10 years has nothing changed? Well, yes of course there have been changes.
Our designs have evolved.
Our signature commitment space is undiminished, however the variety of forms in which that commitment is delivered continues to expand. For example, our new Wav house, on display at Bindy Street, Blackburn South, may be most dramatic expression yet of our light and space philosophy.
And the kinds of households we design and build for, have expanded also. Empty-nesters, the home office market, single parents, and same s*x partners, are market segments that barely existed a decade ago; market segments which have been highly responsive to our light and space, individual design philosophy.
Which brings us back to our brochure. The most startling change, for those of us who know them, is that the people in the photographs have grown 10 years. The children are now adults. Perhaps that is the fitting way to view Fasham's evolving range. Our designs, just like our friends in the brochure, are recognisably the same—but have evolved and adapted to change over 10 years.
If you would like to experience the joys of living with timeless design, please introduce yourself to one of our people at the display, or contact the Fasham office in your state."
