🟠 Mangoesmapping will be at the Local Buy Far North Queensland Procurement Summit Cairns this Thursday, 29 October.

Alistair Hart and Ugurtan Akyurek will be showcasing Mangoesmapping's visualisation software, Geospatial Enterprise Mapping (GEM). GEM helps councils, infrastructure managers, customer service staff and field crews access and visualise council data, respond to map-based enquiries and connect field and office workflows. By making asset information easier to find and understand, GEM supports more informed asset management decisions.

Through its integrated user account management console, GEM enables organisations to share geospatial data with contractors, consultants and the broader community, providing each audience with the appropriate level of detail and access.

We look forward to connecting with local councils and sharing GEM at this event.

🟠 🛰️ Happy International GNSS Day!

Today, 23 October, we celebrate the satellite systems that underpin positioning, navigation and timing—and the people who turn those signals into practical solutions.

At Mangoesmapping, we see the value of GNSS across surveying, mapping, agriculture, construction and infrastructure. From locating assets to guiding machinery, accurate positioning helps teams work efficiently and make informed decisions.

The day also highlights the importance of resilient positioning systems, including addressing challenges such as jamming, spoofing and space weather.

And why 23 October? Written as 10/23, the date celebrates GPS’s fundamental frequency of 10.23 MHz. It’s also a good excuse to share some chips with your colleagues—a nod to the “chips” in GNSS spreading codes!

🟠 Getting the gear is just the beginning. Knowing how to put it to work makes the difference.

We recently helped a customer set up their Emlid Reach RS4 and RS4 Pro, providing practical training to build confidence with the equipment and prepare them for fieldwork.

Taking the time to work through the setup, explain the workflow and answer questions helps our customers get more from their investment.

🟠 Practical Positioning for Agriculture: Cattle Producer Mick York’s Journey with the Emlid Reach RX2.

From planning fence lines and positioning fence posts to mapping farm infrastructure and collecting elevation data for water management, precise positioning can help make everyday work on the property easier. With suitable correction coverage and internet connectivity, an RTK setup can help producers work more independently, reduce repeat measurements and plan material requirements with greater confidence.

We caught up with cattle producer Mick York to hear about getting started with the Emlid Reach RX2, his experience with Mangoesmapping’s Priority Technical Support and his plans to put the equipment to work on his property.
