Working on a flush fit rear window.
The glass needs to sit higher and the rim of the window opening is moved inward to match the glass.

A wooden buck made of two layers of ply was made as welding around a new rear window glass isn't advisable.

Essential I'm making the car fit the glass.

Trunk needed to be split apart and the frame/skin reshaped to follow the fender and extension profile.
Gaps were adjust
Also the inner was painted.

Work continues on the Mustang.
The 70 now is a 69/70 hybrid.
Lots of custom touches get sorted

Although it's hard to pick up on camera , the Kombi is looking nice and straight.

With really large panels with no body lines , they're quite difficult to get right.

Next step is the roof (on the rotisserie) and then apply High Build primer .
Oh and more hand block sanding ! 💪🏼

After working hard to reuse the original boot skin , in the end it was too stretched and damaged to reuse .
So a complete new skin had to be made.
I modified the bead roller to turn on an axis to roll the edges up to an angle where they then can be bent over then hammered around the frame.
Working alone has its challenges , especially with working with larger pieces of sheet metal
