ROPS & FOPS... What's the Difference?

If you've ever wondered what all the acronyms mean when it comes to machine safety, here's a quick breakdown:

✅ ROPS (Roll Over Protective Structure)
Designed to protect operators in the event of a machine rollover by creating a protective zone around the cab.

✅ FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure)
Provides protection from falling objects and debris, making it essential for machines operating in high-risk environments such as forestry, mining, quarrying and construction.

At WFE, we specialise in designing, manufacturing and fitting ROPS, FOPS and other safety upgrades to help ensure machines meet industry requirements while keeping operators safe on the job.

Remember this Kobelco? It's one step closer to heading back to the dealer , with its custom ROPS and FOPS package now fitted by our team.

Designed and manufactured in-house, this protection system has been built to provide the durability and safety demanded on today's worksites. While there's still more work to be completed before sign-off, it's great to see the project coming together.

This brand new Kobelco from Ballarat Tractors & Construction Equipment is currently in the workshop receiving the full treatment, including ROPS, FOPS and OPG (Operator Protective Guarding) to ensure it's ready for work in demanding environments.

This project is being delivered for , producing a machine that meets the required safety and operational standards while ensuring it's ready to tackle the job safely and efficiently.

Another practical access solution delivered for a local farming client.

Work in Progress

A serious setup is coming together for this Dodge RAM.

We're currently building a full aluminium tray and canopy/dogbox package, complete with custom internal storage solutions and electrical fit-out tailored to the client's needs.

Still plenty happening behind the scenes, but it's already looking the part.
