WE BLOODY DID IT!!! ❤
We're still trying to find the words for just how much this means to us!
To stand together as a family and a team, more than 40 years after DW Controls first began, and hear our name called not once, but twice… it’s a feeling we’ll never forget.
There was pride. There were a few tears. And there was an overwhelming sense of gratitude for every person who has played a part in getting us here.
We are incredibly proud and humbled to have been named winners of both the Family Business Award, proudly sponsored by C.E. Bartlett Pty Ltd, and the Innovation Award, proudly sponsored by Gawk Outdoor, at the 2026 Federation University Australia Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Awards.
For a business that began in Ballarat in 1982, these two awards feel particularly special.
Family is where our story began. Innovation is what continues to drive us forward.
More than 40 years and three generations later, to be recognised for both feels like a celebration of everything DW Controls has been, everything it has become, and everything we’re working so hard to build for the future.
These trophies may have our name on them, but they belong to so many people.
To our incredible team, past and present — thank you. Your hard work, knowledge, loyalty and willingness to keep pushing forward have shaped DW Controls into the business it is today.
To our customers, suppliers, families and everyone who has trusted, supported and believed in us over the years — you are part of this story too.
Our sincere thanks to Commerce Ballarat for continuing to champion our local business community and for creating such a prestigious event.
To C.E. Bartlett Pty Ltd, Gawk Outdoor, and all of the other sponsors, judges and people behind the Business Excellence Awards — thank you for making this celebration possible.
And to every other finalist and winner — congratulations.
To stand alongside so many remarkable Ballarat businesses was an honour in itself.
We walked into the night already proud of how far we’d come.
We walked out with two awards and an even greater appreciation for the people who helped us get here.
From one generation to the next, we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built together.
And we’re just getting started!!
