Team GBA is taking on the RFDS Oceans to Outback Challenge this October!

Throughout the month of October, our GBA team will be walking, running and riding to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and help support the essential healthcare services they provide to regional and remote communities.

Another update from the RFDS Patient Transfer Facility project in Emerald.

It's inspiring to see this community-led project continue to take shape. What started as a local challenge has become a local solution, driven by the collaboration, dedication and commitment of Royal Flying Doctor Service - Queensland Section, Rotary Club of Emerald Central Highlands Regional Council, local businesses and the wider community.

GBA is proud to be part of the journey, helping bring this important facility to life and supporting the vital work of the Royal Flying Doctor Service for years to come.

Proud to support regional Queensland — then and now 💧

For over 80 years, GBA Consulting Engineers has been living and working in regional and remote Queensland, with our head office still proudly based in Barcaldine.

Today, we continue that commitment through our role as Regional Coordinator for three QWRAP alliances — RAPADWSA, NWQRWA and SWQWSA — supporting 21 councils across western Queensland.

In regions where distance, scale and resourcing create real challenges, coordination plays a vital role in supporting councils to:
✔ Access technical expertise
✔ Collaborate and share knowledge
✔ Deliver critical water and sewerage projects
✔ Strengthen funding opportunities

We were honoured to be a major sponsor of the 2026 Springsure Mountain Challenge – an incredible annual Mother’s Day fundraiser that brings people together for a great cause.
From the challenging 32km course to the Mini Miler, this event truly captures the spirit of community, resilience, and fun for all ages.
