We've welcomed 250 sheep to our Stubbo Solar site, where they'll be grazing beneath the solar panels as part of our shared land use approach that supports sheep farming, land management, and bushfire preparedness alongside renewable energy generation.

Agriculture and renewable energy don't need to compete for land. At Stubbo Solar, we're proud to demonstrate how farming and clean energy generation can work hand in hand, supporting local agricultural practices while delivering renewable energy into Australia's electricity network.

The integration of sheep grazing helps keep the land productive while providing practical benefits for site management. It's a simple but effective example of how renewable energy projects can continue to support agricultural activity and create shared value for regional communities.

As Australia continues its energy transition, projects like Stubbo Solar show how renewable energy and agriculture can work together to deliver positive outcomes for both industries.

We look forward to seeing our newest arrivals settle in and become part of the ongoing success of our Stubbo Solar operations.

A community-driven program linking locals to training and job opportunities in renewables has expanded into the NSW New England region and ACEN Australia is proud to have supported the group’s New England launch.

Hi Neighbour’s launch of its Love Your Work program included a panel discussion on the local training and worker demands in the New England region, and how people are being linked to those opportunities. ACEN Australia welcomed the invitation to be part of the panel, to provide insights to our New England projects and our commitments to training and job opportunities for locals within the districts in which we operate.

Congratulations to the Hi Neighbour team for a successful New England launch at Armidale’s Welder’s Dog Brewery in Armidale on Saturday. We look forward to seeing the next crop of local skilled workers assisted by the Love Your Work apprenticeships.

And thank you to multiple Golden Guitar winner F***y Lumsden for her performance, adding more energy to the event.

Last week, our Managing Director, David Pollington, spoke at the Tasmanian Major Projects Conference in Hobart. He joined other industry and government leaders to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping Tasmania's future.

In his presentation, David shared an update on ACEN Australia's Robbins Island & Jim’s Plain Wind project, highlighting the ongoing work to progress the project and the important part it can play in supporting regional jobs, economic development and Australia's energy transition.

As Tasmania continues to consider the infrastructure and investment required to support future growth and energy security, collaboration between industry, government, communities and landholders remains critical.

We look forward to continuing our work with stakeholders across Tasmania as we progress projects that can help deliver long-term benefits for local communities and the state.

Today is R U OK? Day, a reminder that a simple conversation can make a meaningful difference.

At ACEN Australia, we know that looking out for each other and creating a culture where people feel supported and connected matters - not just today, but every day.

This afternoon, our team came together for a session with Brad Kane, COO of Lifeline Central West, one of the community organisations we proudly support through our Social Investment Program.
Brad shared an insight into the work Lifeline Central West does across the communities where we operate, including the impact of its support and the difference genuine connection can make when people are doing it tough.

It was a timely reminder that we can all play a role - by checking in, creating space for honest conversations and making it easier for people to reach out when they need support.

Sometimes, its starts with a simple question, asked with care and a willingness to listen.

Today, and every day, let's take the time to ask: R U OK?

Celebrating 20 years of Max Potential in Mudgee.

We were pleased to attend the Max Potential Australia Central West Award Ceremony as a major sponsor and celebrate an incredible 20 years of the program.

For two decades, Max Potential has supported generations of local students, helping them build confidence, discover their strengths and realise what they are capable of achieving. Alongside them, mentors have generously shared their time, experience and encouragement to help shape future leaders.

This celebration was an opportunity to recognise everyone who has contributed to that journey over the years, including the students, mentors, schools, businesses and community members who have helped make Max Potential what it is today.

Congratulations to everyone who has been part of the program over the past 20 years, and especially to this year's students and mentors.

Here's to the next generation, and the next 20 years of Max Potential!

💜 We're wearing purple for inclusion, belonging and support. 💜

Today, ACEN Australia is proud to stand alongside communities across the country in recognising Wear It Purple Day.

Wear It Purple Day is a chance to show LGBTQIA+ young people that they are seen, valued and supported exactly as they are. It's also an opportunity for workplaces like ours to celebrate diversity and continue building environments where everyone feels safe, respected and able to bring their whole selves to work.

Whether it's a purple shirt, socks, lanyard or hard hat sticker, every splash of purple is a visible reminder that inclusion matters.

At ACEN Australia, we believe that diverse perspectives strengthen our teams, our culture and the communities we work with. Today, we're proud to join the conversation and reaffirm our commitment to creating a workplace where everyone belongs.

A big thank you to our team members across our offices and sites who got involved and helped turn ACEN a little more purple today. 💜

We're pleased to support the Centre for Invasive Species Solutions in their continued development of WeedRemeed™, helping land managers detect, map and manage weeds more effectively across complex landscapes.

Thanks to a partnership through our Social Investment Program, the WeedRemeedTM software platform – developed by the Centre for Invasive Species Solutions (CISS) in partnership with 2pi Software – is easier to use than ever before and poised to reduce labour-intensive manual surveys.

User-friendly drone tech hovers into view for land managers 🚁

Thanks to a partnership with ACEN Australia, our WeedRemeed™ platform, developed by CISS with 2pi Software, is now easier to use than ever, and poised to significantly cut down labour-intensive manual surveys.
WeedRemeed uses drone imagery combined with AI and machine learning to identify and locate weeds and native plant species across large, complex landscapes.

CISS Business and Science Portfolio Manager, Sean Freney, said the new features are a game-changer for the platform. "They break down usability barriers to help land managers use the technology to detect and map their weeds," Mr Freney said. "Now the platform is easier to use, we're confident more landholders will be able to deploy this technology, allowing them to use their on-ground management resources more effectively."

Last week was a big one, celebrating regional businesses in Mudgee and Uralla, recognising the people, ideas and organisations helping these communities thrive.

We were proud to be involved in both events, sponsoring the Business Innovation category at the Magnificent Mudgee Business Awards and the Outstanding Apprentice/Trainee Award at the Uralla Business Excellence Awards. It was a privilege to recognise businesses and team members that embrace new ideas, deliver outstanding service and make a lasting impact in their communities.

Regional business awards are about more than celebrating success, they're about investing in the future of the regions where we live and work. By highlighting innovation, resilience, leadership and the next wave of talent, these awards inspire others, strengthen local economies and help shape vibrant regional communities.

Congratulations to all the nominees, finalists and winners. Thank you for the contribution you make to your communities every day. We're proud to celebrate the businesses that continue to shape the regions where we do business.
