What is REDCOR® steel? 🌿

Charlie Albone explains how REDCOR develops its natural patina over time.

It starts out bright orange as it reacts to the weather, then gradually deepens to a darker brown finish, adding warmth and character to the landscape.

🌿 Don't miss this one.

He's a two-time Chelsea Flower Show Silver Gilt medallist, a familiar face on Better Homes and Gardens, and one of Australia's most celebrated landscape designers.

On 27 May, Charlie Albone is joining us at The Landscape Show, and trust us, you'll want to be in this session.

As outdoor spaces shrink and cities grow denser, vertical greening has quietly moved from design flourish to genuine necessity.

In this session, Charlie and Shapescaper will explore practical solutions for homes and compact gardens, as well as large-scale living installations, including the story behind the incredible rock wall Charlie and his team built at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.

Whether you're in design, construction, specification, planting, or project delivery, you'll leave with ideas you can put straight to work.

🌿 From concept to creation — what a result.

The Queensland Garden Show may be over, but we’re incredibly proud to look back at what this team brought to life.

This Shapescaper display was a true collaboration between some incredibly talented people and businesses, each playing their part in transforming the concept into the finished space you see here.

👏 BKR Landscape Construction – bringing the display to life on the ground
🌿 Paul Pritchard Landscape Design – design and creative vision
🌱 – planting expertise and the finishing touches
⚒️ – the steel landscape edging that shaped and defined the display
🪨 Nuway Landscape Supplies Buderim – landscape materials, decorative finishes and Papyrus Steppers

For us at Nuway, opportunities like this are about more than simply supplying materials. They're about supporting our trade customers, working alongside great industry partners and showcasing what can be achieved when quality products, great design and skilled people come together.

A massive thank you and congratulations to everyone involved. The finished display looked outstanding, and we were proud to play our part.

🎥 Here’s a quick look at the build, the people behind it and the finished result.

And we’re not finished yet — we captured plenty from the project, so there’s more to come!

How sustainable can a brand-new garden really be?

It’s a question landscape designer Pia Lefevre doesn’t shy away from.

In Episode 150 of The Front Garden, the Joyscapes owner talks with Adam Hompas Landscapes about the realities of designing more sustainably; from reusing what’s already on site and making thoughtful material choices, to balancing environmental impact with creating an outdoor space people genuinely want to use.

They also unpack the importance of functionality, detailed planning, and clear communication between designers, landscapers, and clients.

It’s a practical conversation about sustainability without the absolutes—and why sometimes the small decisions made at the design stage can have the biggest impact over time.
