RETIREMENT, NEW HOME WITH INCOME & TRAVEL
I have this theory about retirement and the Grey Nomads. Not that I am quite there yet, but doing some thinking about building a new home and having an investment that will provide me an income while I travel. I have come up with this design that I think is a perfect solution. It consists of an open plan living, dining , kitchen, 2 bedroom home with living to the rear courtyard and an oversize single garage with workshop / storage space. Attached at the front of the residence is a secondary dwelling consisting of a large single bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living and courtyard. This could be family accommodation for mum and dad, one of the kids or responsible tenants.
The secondary residence could be rented out while you’re on your big trip with the income paying for your trip and the tenant looking after the maintenance while your gone. With the secondary dwelling at the front, you maintain your privacy to the rear courtyard and you don’t have people living in your back yard like most granny flats. The beauty about being Custom Designers & Builders, is, we can tailor "your home your way!"
