🚨 Cert IV in Emergency Response Coordination: Cobar, NSW 🚨

Have you ever wanted to learn what happens behind the scenes during a large-scale emergency response event?

Our course will teach you exactly that! Over 5 days, the classroom becomes your Incident Control Centre. You’ll rotate through every key IMT role, including Incident Controller, Operations, Safety, Logistics, Planning, Investigation and Public Information. Each scenario is based on real Australian surface and underground search and rescue events.

This is your chance to learn from industry leaders who have real-life experience. Our trainers bring more than 40 years’ combined experience across surface and underground resources sectors. They have worked as coordinators on some of Australia’s most critical incidents of the past decade.

You’ll build skills in:
🔹 Leadership and team motivation
🔹 Emergency management planning
🔹 Coordinating incident response
🔹 Applying emergency response systems (based on AIIMS)

⏳ This course runs only a few times a year across Australia, and this is the last session for 2026. Only a few spots remain, so don’t miss your chance to upskill.

What a phenomenal achievement for our team!
The ISH24 Women's Rescue Training Week has been awarded the Agnico Eagle Mines Limited Excellence in Company Programs and Performance Award at the 2026 BHP Women in Resources National Awards.

Minerals Council of Australia has recognised our program based on "strong participant evidence, measurable capability development and the program’s potential to encourage greater participation."

For seven years, we've been creating safe, supportive spaces where women develop the skills and confidence to lead in rescue and emergency response, proving that diversity is essential to building a stronger resources sector.

We are thrilled to be recognised by our peers and colleagues for this program and we're looking forward to building bigger and better inclusive opportunities for women looking to expand their emergency response capabilities.

For anyone interested in participating in our Women's Rescue Training Week, applications are NOW OPEN for 2027!

When a rescue gets tight, the last thing your crew needs is a BA cylinder getting in the way.

The brand new ISH24 Air Box changes that. Connect your BA cylinders to the Air Box, run a longer airline to the rescuer, and let them move freely without the weight of a cylinder holding them back.

That means better mobility, longer reach, and safer entries in the situations that demand it most: confined spaces, tricky rescues, and emergency jobs where time and safety are everything.

Less to carry. Further to reach.

AFAC26 was a fantastic opportunity to step outside our own operational environment, connect with industry peers and gain new perspectives on how we can continue to strengthen emergency response capability, preparedness and resilience.

We were also proud to be involved in the Resources Rescue Theatre, which was a dedicated presentation space and discussion forum focused on the unique challenges facing emergency response professionals across mining, oil & gas and industrial environments.
The RRT provided an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, experiences and practical insights, while exploring how we can continue to build capability and strengthen emergency response across the resources sector.

A big thank you to the Emergency Management Community of Practice and Daniel Goss for organising the RRT, as well as to all the presenters, industry colleagues and everyone who joined us across the program. It was fantastic to see such a strong focus on learning, development and operational excellence.

Save the date for AFAC27!

Every kilogram matters when you're running toward danger.

Meet FeatherAir, the lightest 6.8L breathing apparatus cylinder in Australia. At just 2.93kg, it's a full 1.5kg lighter than a standard Type 3.

Type 4 carbon fibre construction, no internal metal, no corrosion, and unlimited cylinder life by design. Plus EZYID RFID built in, so your fill and hydrostatic test records live right on the cylinder, scannable from your phone.
