Fraunhofer researchers are developing 3D printed bespoke insoles for diabetes patients

A German collaborative research project called LAUF is seeking to demonstrate and advance the use of 3D printing to make custom insoles for diabetes patients. While still in development, the innovative system could be available in as soon as two years.

The Dutch airport hub of Schiphol in Amsterdam is now testing two new luggage 3D scanning systems that will allow customers to keep electronics in their luggage, a change that could make security checks far more efficient.
