Our delivery truck loaded with another 6 frames for blasting, galvanising and powder coating for new hire Vantages going into the fleet.

We are continually purchasing new machines and refurbishing existing assets to keep them in tip top condition so you can keep welding without the concern of equipment breakdowns while on the job.

Harvey Hire is seeking an all-round hands-on and motivated Yard/Store person to support our Brisbane operations at our Modern Industrial warehouse located in Berrinba Qld.



The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Delivery driving and collections of stock and hire assets

✅ Maintaining a clean, organised, safe and efficient warehouse

✅ Assisting in off-hire process

✅ Assisting with setting up hire equipment

✅ Managing Inventory and stock levels

✅ Receiving, and dispatching goods

✅ Conducting stocktakes and keeping records updated

✅ General warehouse duties



Skills & Requirements:

✅ Forklift ticket (required)

✅ Experience with counterbalance and high-reach forklifts (preferred)

✅ Previous experience in a yard hand/warehouse role

✅ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

✅ Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks

✅ Driver’s license

✅ Positive Attitude

Flashback to the first major project Tim was involved in, the Alcan Gove G3 expansion.

Remembering having to repair 100's of welders next to the beach behind fences with crocodiles in sight or the old beaten up BOC shed 😆😆.
The only reliable way to get gear in and out was on a barge or plane.

Fond memories of agricultural methods for replacing stators, and crates and crates of ESAB Choppers and inverter boards replaced.
Each trip would be booked when a 40 foot container was filled and didn't leave until everything was repaired, there would have been 8+ trips.
The spreadsheets of machines to be repaired was daunting, 40°+ heat, working in a blue farmers singlet but got the job done.

Fond memories from the Hog Shed's Sunday live music, the lookout, Yacht club, Wet mess's $3 Bundy's or $2 beers or the animal bar's questionable entertainment 😅

🏭 The refinery in 2005, roughly when the town's population peaked at over 4000.
♻️ In the last few years, so much of what you can see here has since been scraped in the largest demolition project in Australia's history - about 142000 tonnes of steel and 300000 tonnes of concrete, as part of a massive recycling project.
🏗️ And so much of what of what has been demolished hasn't yet been built in this photo - this was taken during construction for the G3 Expansion.

It wouldn't be Friday without an urgent last minute delivery of 3 Vantages into the city for some weekend work!

Happy Friday and great work guys getting a few machines loaded up and ready for night shift for the poor blokes not having such a good Friday 👍 😫😫

Refurbished Vantage 400 and 580 heading out today.

Ordered on Tuesday and dispatched on Friday to the Adelaide T2D project.

These construction spec machines are ready for site inspection supplied with powder coated frames, fire extinguishers, earth stakes, isolators, reflective tape and all plant pack documents.

Ready to work!

A fresh mobile welding trailer setup heading out for a month hire.

Complete with heavy duty toolbox's, gas bottle rack and a basic Air Vantage.

We have the ability of setting up trailers with any machine available in our fleet of well over 100 diesel welders.

Trailers even have the capacity to fit 2 Vantages!! (50HZ Air Vantage @ 770KGS and a Vantage 500 @ 586KGS) Which can give the ability of 2 operators gouging with 1100A total capacity, 60cfm compressor and 20KVA 50hz power.
