It has been way too long since I posted on here (again...) Soooo, I thought I'd share some Sunday afternoon viewing for you.

These are a couple of small adits (gold mine tunnels) local to Ballarat, Victoria Australia. The last one of these is a very interesting mine, two small stopes back to back with only a meter or two between them is fairly unusual to see.

All these reefs dip towards the east too, not the usual west dipping reefs. This is all part of a huge lode system that produced a lot of gold historically.

We have made it to 3000 subscribers on YouTube!!!

I was hoping to get to 3k by Christmas so this is amazing. Thank you all for your support, it means a lot and I really appreciate it.

Now to get out there and make lots more, better and exciting content and share adventures from all over our amazing goldfields. Lets see how long it takes to get to 4k now ;-) We have 5.5k followers here on Facebook so if you haven't subbed over there please do, maybe we'll be there soon...

This nugget was about a gram from memory, a really interesting nugget out of one of our paddocks, found right on top of the reef.

Gold price today is still flying upwards.

The video I put up a couple of days ago on YT gold had gone over AU$5920 an ounce, today it's hit $6080!

This little 4.35 gram lot in my hand is now worth over AU$850. It is brilliant for prospectors and miners so get out there folks and find some gold ;-)

I used to have an average grade cut off below around 15g per ton for judging if a reef was worth mining financially, it is now down to under 6 grams per ton...

We stopped in Stawell, Victoria Australia for food and milkshakes and a bit of an explore yesterday on the way home from my daughter Sophie's Gymnastics comp in Natimuk.

I filmed a pretty cool open cut mine with a haulage tunnel on Big Hill (video out tonight on YT) and we went and had a look at the working Stawell Gold Mine decline. It's worth the trip to watch the trucks coming out with stone from a kilometre or more underground and you can see the mill and recovery plant operating from the viewing area.

This is the plant, a wee bit bigger than the one we are about to build...

G'day folks, it's been a while since I've posted much on here but I am going to try to get a few interesting snippets of the stuff I'm up to on here.

Starting with this video of a really cool gold mine! I do mention that the long video will be up tomorrow, well it was up quite a few yesterdays ago but you'll have to look at that other big video website for that, the one known as YT.
