A Finlay J1480 has touched down at the port but wont be idle for long.

Already sold to a top tier mining operation, this machine is headed for a short stay at the OPS workshop, where our team will work through modifications to suit the application and a range of safety upgrades to meet the highest standards and regulations, before it heads to site and gets to work.

The J1480 continues to be one of the most sought after mobile jaw crushers on the market, and it is easy to understand why. With units operating across Australia and the Northern Territory in a wide range of applications, this machine consistently proves its reliability and versatility in some of the toughest conditions on the planet.

It does not always take a large scale investment to change how an operation runs on site.

A recently commissioned Telestack TC424X and TC424XR are now running in a remote quarry application for , and the difference in how material is moving on site is already being felt. Both machines have hit the ground running, reducing handling, cutting fuel consumption and producing main road specification material.

Not every day on site looks this good.

The team headed out recently to commission a newly dispatched EvoQuip C**t 1600, and somewhere between getting the machine running and taking in what was around them, someone pulled out a camera. Between the machine and the surroundings, the photos speak for themselves.

Mobile crushing and screening applications across Western Australia and the Northern Territory demand equipment that can handle tough conditions, high hours and the kind of environments that put machines to the test. For over 25 years OPS has been supporting Australian operators with Finlay equipment across both regions, and that experience has given us a genuine understanding of what these applications demand and what it takes to keep equipment performing on site.

With our EOFY sale now on, now is a great time to talk to the team about what Finlay equipment is available and what could be the right fit for your operation.

The role you have been building your career towards might be right here.

We are on the lookout for a highly experienced Technical Support Lead to join the OPS Service and Technical team in Western Australia. This is a senior hands-on role built for someone who has spent years deep in the detail of mobile and fixed crushing and screening equipment and is ready to bring that knowledge to bear across an entire business. If you are the person your team already turns to when a problem gets complex, this role was built with you in mind.

You will serve as the technical backbone of the operation, providing advanced support to internal teams and customers, mentoring and upskilling technicians, liaising with OEM partners and stepping into the field when the job demands it. For the right person this is not just a technical role, it is an opportunity to shape the capability of a team and leave a lasting mark on how the business delivers for its customers.

Sean Burke is hitting the road through the Territory, and the scenery does not disappoint.

The Northern Territory has always held a special place in the OPS story, and a big part of that comes down to the people. Over the years some of our most passionate team members have called the NT home, and it was their genuine understanding of what Territory operators deal with on the ground that drove us to build something meaningful up here.

That foundation of local knowledge and real relationships has shaped everything from how we set up our branch to how we show up for customers across the region today, with parts, field service and equipment all supported directly from our NT operation, because for us the Territory has never been somewhere we support from a distance.

What could you save?

Every hour a loader is moving material on site, the cost is visible in the fuel burn but the full picture goes beyond that. Maintenance, wear, operator time and the compounding nature of those costs across a full year add up quickly in ways that are easy to overlook when the operation is busy.

With electric and low fuel consumption material handling options now a genuine and accessible alternative, the conversation around what running costs could look like is one more operations are starting to have.

With significant discounts available nationally across our material handling equipment now is a good time to have that conversation with the team.
