WE’RE HIRING !!
We’re a local residential building company working across the Hunter region based in the Maitland area, seeking a motivated and reliable Carpentry Apprentice to join our team. This is a great opportunity to learn all aspects of residential construction while working in a supportive, professional.

What We Offer

* Pay in line with the Building & Construction General On-Site Award (MA000020)
* Hourly award wage plus applicable allowances
* Consistent full-time hours – 38-hour week (4 days work + 1 paid TAFE day)
* Structured training with clear pathways for growth
* Exposure to a wide variety of residential construction from modern new builds to renovations and maintenance of heritage homes
* Mentoring from experienced carpenters and subcontractors
* A tight-knit team environment where effort and attitude matter
* Supportive work environment focused on learning and progressing

About the Role
You’ll gain hands-on experience in:
* Framing, decking, cladding, and fit-outs
* Reading and interpreting plans
* Working safely and efficiently alongside qualified tradesmen
* Learning and developing practical building skills
* Using hand and power tools confidently and safely
* Maintaining site cleanliness and safety standards
* You’ll work four days on-site each week and attend TAFE one day as part of your apprenticeship
* Representing the Mudford constructions brand with professionalism

What We’re Looking For in an apprentice

* A current drivers license
* Their own reliable transport.
* Construction White card (or ability to obtain immediately)
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Physically fit and able to work outdoors
* Passion for building a long-term career in the trade
* Reliable, punctual and proactive attitude
* Can demonstrate that they have had a keen interest in working with timber over a period of time ( ie has chosen industrial arts electives through out high school, TVET course etc)
