You have to walk the walk before you can talk the talk!
So why did I start helping people by designing and building their renovations, extensions and new homes?
Because in 1995, my wife (and business partner) and I bought an old, characterless, early 60’s built home in Claremont. It was literally the worst home in the best street - on Hammond Road, a beautiful tree lined avenue.
Having operated our own Interior Design business for the last 5 years, and being an ex-Engineer (in my case) and an Interior Designer (in my wife’s case), we had a passion for design and understanding of construction.
We lived in the home for a year whilst we planned our renovations and extensions, and then embarked on the journey as Owner-Builders. That was in 1995 (yes, last Century!), and we went on to have two children and to do another major extension/renovation around 10 years ago.
