Crafted to complement the landscape, this bespoke pool pavilion & insulated in ground pool, blends timeless architecture with high-performance construction. Featuring custom arched windows, hand pitched & cut-curved rafters, seamless indoor-outdoor living and premium finishes throughout, this project was designed and built to create a resort-style retreat at home.

The J.O&Co Passivhaus slab process ☑️

• Site cut, levelled and compacted to form a stable base.
• Services installed and set out prior to insulation.
• XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) insulation laid continuously under the entire slab.
• Perimeter and thickened zones insulated to eliminate thermal bridging.
• High-strength XPS provides both insulation and structural support.
• All joints and penetrations sealed.
• Reinforcement installed over insulation with correct cover.
• Pre-pour checks ensure continuity, levels and service accuracy.
• Concrete poured directly over the insulated system.
• Insulation isolates the slab from ground temperatures, allowing it to act as effective internal thermal mass.
• Result: a high-performance Passivhaus slab with superior energy efficiency and comfort.
