Mine Shutdown Works often involve the inspection, replacement or repair of components of large production plant equipment to help maintain its availability and operational utilisation. These works often include the use of dust generating activities such as abrasive blasting equipment as part of repair processes.

Grydale® has an extensive range of mobile dust collectors that can meet the wide range of dust generating shutdown work activities with air volumes from 6m3/s (12,000 CFM) to 60m3/s (125,000 CFM). The use of diesel, track mounted units avoids the requirement for use of site power which may be limited. These self-propelled, remote control units can be easily positioned near dust generating activities onsite - reducing the set-up requirements on-site.

Grydale® manufacture a range of axial fans to support ventilation design requirements. Our axial fans include a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) as part of the standard configuration to regulate air volume and reduce power consumption.

Axial fans produce high air-volumes at low pressure and are a cost effective, portable solution, when dust extraction or filtration is not required. They are relatively light and can be easily moved on-site using lifting lugs or forklift pockets. Axial fans can also be designed with additional silencers to meet site noise regulations.
