Do YOU need a battery? 🔋
The data from these two systems shows exactly how a battery could benefit these home owners.

Sungrow SG10RT w/ 33x 390w Panels.
This system was only recently installed, but is still producing 40-50kWh / day.
This customer works from home, but still uses a great deal of power in the morning and evening. During the day, the majority of the power is exported to the grid.

This system, EVEN IN WINTER, produces on average 40-60kWh / day. The customer isn't home during the day to utilise the energy, so over the 2021 period they exported a whopping 18.431 MEGA WATT HOURS of energy.

But why would they benefit from a battery?

If you're exporting power at 5c / kWh, and buying back at 25c / kWh, you would need to sell FIVE TIMES as much power to the grid during the day than what you're going to use at night.

This still wont let you break even though since you have daily meter charges involved with the billing cycle as well.

How do we combat this?
With the accumulating data we get every 10 seconds from these systems we can do rough calculations and projections for how much power they are likely to export during a day, and size a battery accordingly.

With power prices set to rise dramatically in the coming months, don't sell your power to the grid and expect your retailer to do right by you..

Since installing this system nearly 12 months ago, its generated almost 10MWh (Mega Watt Hours) of electricity for our customers in Mackenzie, south of Brisbane.

Another Sungrow inverter work in progress in Mackenzie. Coupled with 32 325w Axitec PV modules, this install will surely make a dent into their power bills!
