We are pleased to announce that Argo has partnered with Cougar Group to bring new key equipment to our Carborough Downs Mine.

We recently took delivery of the first of three new pieces of equipment designed to support and boost our board and pillar operation. This milestone is the result of a strong, long-term partnership that has been building over a number of years and one that we are excited to continue moving forward.

A huge thank you to everyone involved from both the Argo and Cougar teams for the incredible time, effort, and collaboration required to make this transaction happen.

These assets are vital to our ongoing journey as we continue to advance and optimise our operations.

This Christmas, the Carborough Downs team came together to support all of those in need, donating gifts to the Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul, and Orange Sky through the Carborough “Presents from the Pit” Gift Drive. Adding to the festive spirit, the two winning teams of the Fitzroy Volleyball competition generously donated their winnings of just over $400 to the drive. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this Christmas brighter for others.

Every year, mine rescue crews from across Queensland step up to test their skills, teamwork, and commitment to safety in a high-stakes competition.
Tomorrow marks the kickoff of the 2025 Queensland Mine Rescue Competition, with the prestigious QMRS Memorial Cup hosted by Cook Colliery. Both our Carborough Downs and Ironbark No 1 teams will be proudly representing Fitzroy!
