Congratulations to the Wandoan State School P&C on the success of the inaugural Ventia Golden Glove Softball Tournament, raising an incredible $33,000 for Wandoan State School.

Held in honour of the late Mrs Joy Baker, a much-loved teacher and softball advocate, the tournament celebrated her lasting contribution to Wandoan while creating something that will benefit local students for years to come.

The funds will go towards important improvements including playground upgrades and a new shade structure over the school's multipurpose courts.

CS Energy was proud to support the event through Round 19 of our Community Sponsorships Program, helping bring together students, families, former students, volunteers, and community members for a fantastic day of sport, connection, and community spirit.

Congratulations to the Wandoan Parents and Citizens Association, volunteers, and everyone who took part in making the event such a success.

CS Energy was proud to take part in the 2026 CUC Western Downs STEMM Stroll in Chinchilla this week, joining industry professionals, students and community members from across the region to celebrate and support women in STEMM.

Events like this help shine a light on the diverse and rewarding careers available in regional Queensland while providing opportunities to connect, share experiences and encourage future generations to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine - and energy!

A big thank you to and everyone who helped make the event such a success. We look forward to continuing to support initiatives that inspire, connect and empower people across our communities.

Round 20 of CS Energy's Community Sponsorship Program is now open!

CS Energy invites community groups and not-for-profit organisations in the Western Downs and Banana Shire regions to apply for funding.

In Round 19, we provided a combined total of $100,000 in financial support towards community-led initiatives to help local groups in the communities surrounding our Kogan Creek and Callide power stations to improve facilities, run events, support people of all ages, celebrate culture, and keep communities active and connected.

Round 20 is open for applications from 9am Monday 5 October to 5pm Monday 2 November 2026.

This will be the final round for the year.

At the 2026 Callide Power Station Family Day, our employees took their loved ones behind the scenes to see how electricity is generated.

Hosted by Callide Power Station General Manager Malcolm Bambling, the day recognised the contribution of employees and contractors to the station’s improved performance over the past year, while thanking their families for the support that makes it possible.

“Keeping a power station running can sometimes mean long hours away from home, particularly during overhauls,” Malcolm said.

“A supportive family makes all the difference in helping our people show up to work fit and ready to do their jobs.”

There was plenty to enjoy, with lunch and children’s activities at Queensland Heritage Park, plus bus tours of the power station.

CS Energy Chair Tony Bellas also travelled to Biloela to spend time with the Callide team and their families.

The family day came ahead of summer readiness works on Callide B’s two generating units, starting in late October.

As the Banana Shire shows us over and over again, communities are strongest when people come together for something bigger than themselves.

That's exactly what happened at the 2026 Joel ‘Joeley’ Weeks Memorial Page Charity Bowls Day, where an incredible $147,236.07 was raised to support improved palliative care facilities for local patients and families, while continuing progress on Biloela's community helipad project.

CS Energy was proud to sponsor event merchandise under Round 18 of our Community Sponsorships Program, helping ensure funds generated through merchandise sales went straight back into the fundraiser and its community initiatives.

CS Energy and APA Group have formalised an agreement for the delivery and operation of the Brigalow Peaking Power Plant on the Western Downs.

The gas-fired power plant will operate alongside Kogan Creek Power Station and the Chinchilla Battery to support energy supply for Queensland.

Once operational, the plant will be capable of supplying energy to more than 150,000 homes during peak demand periods, helping strengthen electricity reliability as Queensland's energy needs grow.

Early project works are now complete; GE Vernova is delivering the gas turbines and Balance of Plant contractor Monadelphous is now moving forward to deliver main construction works.

APA will lead the delivery of the project, and acquire an 80 per cent interest in the asset. Once complete, CS Energy will operate and maintain the power plant and retain a 20 per cent ownership interest.

APA's share of the plant will be contracted to CS Energy under a 25-year hedge offtake agreement, meaning CS Energy will have 100 per cent of the plant's offtake.

The Brigalow Peaking Power Plant is expected to become operational in early 2029.

CS Energy is pleased to share our FY2026 Annual Report. This year we significantly improved our operational performance, contributing to the successful achievement of all nine of our Electricity Maintenance Guarantee targets. Our power stations operated more safely and reliably, planned overhauls were delivered on schedule and within budget, and personal and process safety results improved.

The focus now is to build on this momentum, keep improving and continue delivering safe, reliable, and disciplined performance. Thank you to our employees for your hard work and dedication to delivering safe, reliable and affordable energy to the people and businesses of Queensland.

Today we welcomed Stephen Harty as CS Energy’s new Chief Executive Officer.

With more than 25 years of experience across the global energy industry and three years serving on the CS Energy Board, Stephen brings a deep understanding of both the sector and our business as he steps into the role.

Stephen said his immediate focus is to get out to our sites, meet our people, and listen to the teams that keep CS Energy operating every day.

“I’ve seen the great progress the business has made over the last few years, and I’m looking forward to spending time with our people, getting into the detail, learning from their experiences, and continuing to build on that momentum together,” Stephen said.

As we welcome Stephen to the role, we would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Tony Bellas for his leadership as Acting CEO over recent months. Tony’s steady guidance and commitment have helped ensure a smooth transition and maintain a strong focus on our priorities as a company.
