The company offers services in all phases of structural projects, including feasibility studies, investigations, detailed design and documentation, contract administration and construction supervision.
Due to workload and expansion we are looking for a structural CAD technician to add to our team and expertise. The duties for this role will include structural detailing and the production of AutoCAD drawings for a wide range of projects including residential housing, medium to high rise residential units, commercial and industrial buildings.

Responsibilities:
Create and modify detailed engineering drawings from architectural plans.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports, by gathering and analysing data and conducting necessary calculations.
Review and revise designs based on feedback and changes in project scope.
Value engineering and ensuring final project documentation complies with specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
Maintain an organized file system for all drawings and project documents.
Effectively liaise with clients, architects and project contacts.
Conduct site visits and inspections.
Stay updated on industry codes and regulations.
Requirements:
Diploma/degree in Drafting.
3 years of experience preferably within Australia.
Demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD and Revit within a consulting engineering environment.
Current and future eligibility to work in Australia.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, to liaise with colleagues, clients and building industry personnel.
Strong time management skills, with a focus on quick customer response times.
