Empowering Women. Strengthening Industry. Supporting Our Community.

AWCC is proud to host the Empowered Women in Trades

This isn’t just a program — it’s an opportunity.

An opportunity for women to step into trades, build real skills, and see what a future in industry can look like.
An opportunity for local businesses to connect, engage, and play a role in shaping the next generation of the workforce.

At AWCC, we back this initiative because it aligns with what we stand for — real pathways, real skills, and real outcomes. We’re also proud to have strong female leadership within our own business, reinforcing our commitment to supporting women across the industry.

📍 Hosted at our Toowoomba Training Centre
3 Foundry St, Toowoomba QLD 4350
📅 23–25 June 2026

We’re calling on local businesses to get involved — sharing insights, or simply being part of the experience.

This is how we build capability.
This is how we support community.
This is how we move industry forward.

Today, on ANZAC Day, we pause as a nation.

We remember those who served.
Those who sacrificed.
And those who never returned.

At Australian Well Control Centre (AWCC), this day is not only about reflection — it’s about commitment.

We are proud to support and employ veterans across our organisation. The leadership, discipline, and resilience forged through service are qualities that strengthen our team, our training, and the industries we support every day.
Today, that commitment extends beyond the workplace.

AWCC is proud to support and sponsor Veteran Rugby Referees officiating matches on ANZAC Day — ensuring those who have served continue to lead within our communities. With a veteran in the middle of these games, it’s a powerful reminder that service doesn’t end — it evolves.

This is what ANZAC Day represents to us:
Respect for the past.
Support for the present.
And investment in the future of those who have served.

Lest we forget.

Another week at AWCC — and it didn’t slow down.

✔️ 2 x IWCF Well Control courses delivered — strong results across both
✔️ Over 140 people trained across our programs
✔️ Onsite delivery across the region — real environments, real conditions, real outcomes

We don’t do “tick and flick” training.
We deliver industry-led capability — the kind that stands up when it matters.

This week also saw us welcome Beau to the AWCC team — another trainer who brings real-world experience into the room, not just theory. That’s how we build depth. That’s how we stay relevant.

Out in the field, we continued our collaboration with Wild Desert, supporting their open day in Roma — engaging directly with industry, connecting with crews, and reinforcing what partnership actually looks like.

And it wasn’t just the daytime that counted.

Networking across the region — morning through to night — because being present in industry isn’t optional for us, it’s expected.

From sunrise starts to sunset finishes across this country — this is what we do.
We show up. We deliver. We stay connected.

We support regional communities.
We back local businesses.
We build capability where it’s needed most.

And let’s be clear — this is where the difference is.
There are providers… and then there are partners.

AWCC isn’t here to compete on paper.
We’re here to lead in the field.

4WD Training
Most people learn 4WD the hard way — in the field.

Our 4WD Cluster is built for the field:
Operate it. Maintain it. Handle real conditions.
This is hands-on training designed for the environments you actually work in — not ideal scenarios. From vehicle control and terrain assessment to basic maintenance and recovery, you’ll build the capability to handle what’s in front of you.

Because in the field, it’s not the vehicle that lets you down — it’s the decision.
Focused, practical training that turns knowledge into action — so small mistakes don’t become big problems.

This is what industry expects.

Another week of Well Control at AWCC — working with crews who’ve seen it, done it, and know exactly what’s at stake.

This isn’t entry-level theory. It’s pressure-testing decisions, challenging habits, and refining the edge that only comes from experience in the field. The conversations are deeper, the scenarios are sharper, and the standard lifts accordingly.

When you put experienced operators in a room built for real-world application — that’s where the value is.

Respect to the crews continuing to invest in their craft.

One breath. One decision. That’s all it takes.

Working in hazardous atmospheres isn’t just another task—it’s where air becomes your greatest risk and your only lifeline. The difference between control and catastrophe comes down to your training, your discipline, and your ability to trust your equipment under pressure.

At AWCC, we don’t just teach SCBA—we build operators who can perform when visibility drops, conditions deteriorate, and every breath counts.

If you’re stepping in, make sure you’re trained to come back out.

SCBA Training – Control your air. Control the outcome. Come home safe.

17/04/2026

Real training. Real pressure. Real outcomes.

Great work from our confined Space Rescue Training team this week. Training teams in tight access, limited visibility, hazardous atmospheres, and a team that has to get it right every time. From grid entry and casualty recovery to non-entry rescue and SCBA operations and many more, every scenario is built to reflect what happens in the field—not the classroom.

Train hard. Think clearly. Execute with purpose. The AWCC way.

🐰 Confined Space? Even the Easter Bunny knows the rules…

At Australian Well Control Centre, safety doesn’t take a holiday — but we do.

Please note our team will be closed for Good Friday and Easter Monday as we take time to reset, recharge, and spend time with family.

Even in a bit of Easter fun, the message stays the same —
✔️ Right equipment
✔️ Right preparation
✔️ Right mindset

That’s what keeps people safe in our industry.

From all of us at AWCC, we wish you a safe, enjoyable, and well-earned long weekend.

We’ll be back ready to go, continuing to deliver industry-leading training that makes a difference where it matters most.

A Week at AWCC

This is what a week looks like when training isn’t just a tick-box… it’s the real deal.

From hands-on drilling exposure to high-risk safety scenarios, our students don’t just sit in a classroom — they step into environments that mirror the field. Real equipment. Real expectations. Real outcomes.

Across Toowoomba and Brisbane this week, we’ve seen people walk in unsure… and walk out confident, job-ready, and switched on to what this industry actually demands.

That’s what matters.

Not theory for the sake of it.
Not compliance for the sake of paperwork.
But capability — built properly, by people who’ve lived it.

If you’re serious about training and your crew ready.
