What a wonderful evening!

This week, Senex was pleased to cohost the Australia-Korea Business Council Members Brisbane Meetup with POSCO International Corp's Miss Yumi Han. 🤝

Australia and South Korea have one of the most important trade relationships in our region, and gas and energy sits right at the heart of it.

Australian gas for our Australian trading partners – not just Australia – means petrol, diesel and jet fuel for Australians. 🌏

In 2024, Australia exported 11.4 million tonnes of Liquified Natural Gas to South Korea. In return South Korea sent us 11.6 million tonnes of liquid fuels — petrol, diesel and jet fuel.

These figures highlight the deep interdependence between Australia and Korea on energy security, which was recommitted to by Australia’s Foreign Minister, Senator Penny Wong, on 30 April.

If Australia’s proposed gas reservation results in us failing to deliver our side of the energy agreement, and petrol, diesel and jet fuel don’t flow back to Australians, our economy grinds to a halt.

We were delighted to welcome Consul General Seong-Yeon Kim and over 60 guests from across the Australian and Korean business community to celebrate the mutually beneficial partnership between both countries of which we can all be proud and should furiously protect. 🩵

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the annual Wandoan Photo Challenge sponsored by Senex, we've brought a curated collection of winning images from the past decade to the foyer of our Brisbane office at 70 Eagle Street. 🖼️

The display is a stunning retrospective of the Wandoan community through the eyes of those who call it home and features the work of eleven photographers including Tania Baker, Alexis Rose, Jamie Hurley, Chris Sweetapple, Paula Heelan, Carla Klass, Naomi Roberts, Isobel Kelly, Quinlan Reis, Christian Andersen and Jodie Tidswell.

The steaks have never been higher! 🥩

The Drill Inn was the place to be at Australian Energy Producers Conference 2026! The crowds kept coming and our quintessential Queensland pub was a hive of activity as our raffle prize winners were drawn.

Senex Energy CEO Darren Stevenson was pleased to have Hancock Prospecting and Senex Energy Director Ian Plimer draw the lucky winners and it was wonderful to have AEP Chair and Shell's EVP Integrated Gas Cecile Wake drop by the Drill Inn.

Hooves, hurdles and a whole lot of heart at the Roma Show! 🐴

Some of Queensland's best riders and horses took to the arena at Bassett Park, delivering impressive jumps and plenty of community spirit from start to finish.

Monster trucks, equestrian six-bar, and a whole lot of family fun – what a weekend at the Taroom Show!

It was so great to see families from across the region come together, kids with wide eyes watching the trucks and horses, and communities catching up and celebrating together. 🤠

Now in its 10th year, this much-loved competition captures the region in all its glory. This year brought a record 241 entries and the talent on show was nothing short of incredible.
