June is world oceans month, and in the current climate - it’s hard to ignore the impact that our decisions are having on ocean temperatures, rising sea levels and their impact on the marine environment.

There are groups, like Surfers for climate, who are taking action now, rallying their members, and using their collective voices to push for change. The upcoming election gives them, and you, a chance to be vocal about the impact that the climate crisis is having on our oceans and shorelines. Surfers For Climate are pushing governments to stop drilling and mining for oil and gas in our oceans, expand our surfing reserves and clean up our marine environments.

With Electricity making up roughly 33% of Australia’s total emissions, making the simple switch is just one step you can take towards a cleaner, greener future for our oceans and our climate.

At Radian, we wholeheartedly believe that our energy choices shouldn’t be at the detriment of the planet. We’re committed to using our power for purpose, enabling you and others around the country to use their power for good, helping to shape Australia's clean energy future.

Uncontrollable bushfires. Record-breaking rainfall. Devastating floods. Over the past three years, climate disasters have ravaged our country. But this is not normal. At least it shouldn’t be.

Australia is in a unique position to be a world leader in addressing climate change, but we need policies that embrace the opportunities before us. We’re proud to be standing alongside some of our closest friends and partners in the business community, making our voices heard on climate inaction.

By joining forces with Heaps Normal, and signing their open letter, we’re hoping to raise awareness of how we, as part of the business community can be a part of the solution to climate inaction.

There’s no doubt that we’re blessed when it comes to sitting back and enjoying an ice-cold beer when we’re out with friends, camping or at home. ⁣

With all the brewing comes the bubbles of CO2 that give us that refreshingly crisp first sip, and with it, more CO2 heading into the atmosphere. ⁣
⁣
Driven to offset their production, Young Henrys teamed up with UTS to develop bright green bioreactor tanks filled with CO2 eating algae. Since 2019, the bioreactors in their Newtown brewery have been able to produce as much oxygen as one hectare of forest. Now that’s a beer you can feel good about. ⁣
