A closer look at the blockwork package out at the Chung Tian Main Temple Project in Priestdale.

Scott talks through what goes into a specified joint sealing scope, from product selection and preparation through to the takeoff and BOQ completed before we arrive on site.

For this package, that includes roughly 4,500 linear metres of blockwork joints, along with undercroft and hardstand works including isolation joints, control joints and saw cuts. Everything is measured and priced upfront to keep the scope clear and avoid variations down the line.

The team is currently working in the main worship area completing the blockwork scope 🧱

We’re using BOSTIK P590 and Bostik Fireban One across the masonry works, both reliable products for this type of install 🔧

Toby - Supervisor | Downseal

Toby has grown with Downseal over the past few years, starting out on the gun as an Applicator before stepping into a Supervisor role as the team and business expanded.

His role now covers everything from booking in jobs and chasing purchase orders, through to supporting the clients and team on site to ensure we deliver the service and quality Downseal is known for.

For Toby, one of the most rewarding parts of the job is seeing the end result. Stepping back once a project is complete and seeing it all come together, knowing the hours, effort and coordination that went into getting it there.

But for him, it’s the people that make Downseal what it is. The team culture, the familiarity within the team and the leadership around him all play a big part in why he’s stayed, grown and taken on more responsibility over time.

His progression is a good example of what can happen when effort and skill is backed by opportunity.

Today marks our company anniversary, so let’s take a trip down memory lane.

Downseal.
7 years in the game.
4 years as a company.

Downseal didn’t start where it is today.
No fancy office. No employees.
Just a passion for a trade that’s often overlooked and a commitment to raising the standard.

Over time, that grew into a team, a culture and a company built on relationships, quality, reliability and genuine pride in our work.

Thank you to our clients and suppliers who have continually backed us and the biggest shout out to our incredible team who deliver the standard we’re known for on every project.
