Pub operator Australian Venue Co is undertaking the renovation to restore the 175 year old pub and tailor it’s offering to the modern Brighton community.

Works have commenced at St Mary MacKillop School in Wallaroo.

The project involves the construction of a new building which contains numerous rooms with diverse usages such as food tech, music and general learning areas. The external works involve the construction of a new basketball court which is cleverly surrounded by tiered limestone blocks which form amphitheatre like seating.

With the exciting redevelopment taking place in the Museum and its galleries, the level of care and accuracy is being taken to new heights. This image was taken in the Stockman’s Hall of Fame as tradesmen undertake vital aspects of the renewal project…possibly not for the faint hearted!!!

To see out National Safe Work Month - a time to make your commitment to improving safety and health in your workplace. Also acknowledging that the Christmas period is synonymous with heightened levels of stress and mental health issues, ICM’s SA team engaged Mates In Construction (MIC) to deliver their General Awareness Training at ICM’s newly fitted out Warradale office. MATES provides su***de prevention through community development programs on site, supporting workers in need through case management and via a 24/7 help line. MATES belief, that if the building and construction industry in Australia is to improve the mental health & well-being of workers and reduce su***de, we must all play our part together.

What an amazing organisation, thanks MATES.

We finished off our day with a sausage sizzle cooked by State Director David Angus to commemorate another LTI and MTI free month. Yum!

The ICM team are quickly progressing through stage 1 of the refurbishment and compliance upgrade at Snowtown Hospital’s Lumeah Homes. The staged programme spans over a 10 month period in which time the building’s footprint will be extended, new service infrastructure installed and a full refurbishment will be completed.

These important works are part of the governments focus in boosting regional health services to provide better care, closer to home. ICM are working closely with SA Health to deliver this important project with minimal disruption to the facilities operations. Here’s an artist’s impression by Hames Sharley and we look forward to showing you the finished product.
