Jack’s taken over the walkthrough, and there’s plenty happening on site at Agars Street.

From the oversized front door and expansive sliders to the breezeway blocks, VJ ceiling and long window openings, this home is really starting to show its personality.

Behind the scenes, the team has also been working through the finer details, including handrails, doors, hardware and preparation for the next round of tiling, concreting and external works.

A lot has changed over the past few months, and we’re getting closer to seeing the full vision come together.

That’s why we like to be involved from the very beginning, working alongside trusted architects and designers who understand both the vision for the home and the practical requirements of the site.

For this project, we’re working with Ben from Mercury Design, who has carefully considered everything from council requirements to overland flow and how the new home impacts neighbouring properties.

From the classroom to the construction site. 👷‍♂️

Meet James, a Grade 12 student completing work experience with the Abode Construction team.

From laying trench mesh and tying steel to framing a dropped ceiling, James has been getting hands-on experience and learning directly from the boys on site.

Next up, he’ll be helping with the footings for the upstairs deck and seeing the project come together after the concrete pour.

A great opportunity to experience the industry firsthand and gain a clearer picture of where a career in construction could lead.
