School holidays are over, and it was a busy few weeks for Multhana Building Services team.

While students were away, our team completed a range of school projects across South East Queensland — from minor repairs and building upgrades to Yarning Circle installations, landscaping works and other school improvements.

One of these was a recent upgrade at The Ipswich State High School, where our team transformed the Girls’ Gym area into a more secure, weather-protected and functional training space. The works included new rear wall infills, a secure screening wall and access gate, and a new opening in the existing blockwork wall to accommodate a commercial roller door.

As a Queensland Department of Education SOA Approved supplier, Multhana is proud to support schools with building upgrades, minor works and maintenance projects like this one.

The station will feature 14 public artworks by some of Queensland’s most celebrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, bringing culture, identity and storytelling into a space thousands of people will move through every day.

As a Supply Nation Certified Indigenous-owned business, we’re proud to see First Nations culture embedded so visibly in a major piece of Queensland infrastructure.

We’re also pleased to be contributing to the project behind the scenes. Last week, our People & Culture Coordinator, Pichdaly Ros, and Client Service Manager, Michelle Lodding, represented Multhana at the Gold Coast Employment and Skills Expo in Helensvale.

It was a great opportunity to connect with local jobseekers, share what it’s like to work at Multhana, and talk about the employment opportunities available across our business.

A special moment at Meandu Mine 🤎

Earlier this month, we were proud to join Wakka Wakka Traditional Owners and Elders, Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council, Stanwell and Golding for the official opening of the new Meandu Mine Yarning Circle.

Shaped with guidance from Wakka Wakka people, the space draws from Country and was created as a place to yarn, listen, learn and come together.

We’re proud to have played a part in bringing this special space to life. 🤎
