A nicely melted 3 phase circuit breaker we replaced this week for one of our favourite customers at Sumner Park. Their transfer pumps were not working and this was the cause. Usually caused by a loose or overloaded terminal.

A gentle reminder today to try to expect the unexpected. We removed this power point to find a friendly little mouse had nibbled on the cable. Chewed right down to the live copper on the active wire ⚡️☠️⚡️

Last week it was all hands on deck to do this switchboard upgrade on a block of units in Algester. All three generations of All-Kind Electrical Service worked as a team and the outcome is beautiful. This building is now set for another 40 years.

We recently performed a total house refurbishment for one of our awesome customers. Dozens of new switches and power points, 20 low profile tri-colour LED oyster lights and 5 new ceiling fans with built-in tri-colour LED lights. This afternoon we had an interesting little fault finding job on a house. A multi-circuit (4 pole) safety switch was tripping constantly. After a few minutes of testing with an insulation resistance tester, the fault was found on the hot water circuit. This terminal block was the culprit. The terminals were not correctly tightened when the hot water system was installed causing it to melt and make contact with the earthed metal casing of the hot water system. Another happy customer 👌.

On the 12th of April, All-Kind Electrical Service celebrated 47 years of operation. The business was started by my parents, Doug and Robyn Rath on the Tuesday after Easter, 1977. There has been a lot of changes in the industry in that time but we still enjoy serving the community and our customers. Thank You, Chris.
