This project was laser cut from 5mm Corten steel, creating a feature piece that complements the stunning vineyard setting perfectly.

We’re looking for a Metal Fabrication Draftsman to join our team- but we’re also open to the right tradesperson ready to step up off the tools.

If you’ve got solid fabrication experience and an eye for detail, this is a genuine opportunity to transition into a drafting role with training and support provided.

About the Role
You’ll be responsible for producing accurate and detailed drawings across a range of fabrication projects. Working closely with clients, the workshop team, and project managers, you’ll play a key role in turning concepts into practical, buildable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings from concept through to production
• Interpret client requirements, specifications, and scope of works
• Produce workshop drawings, layouts, and cutting lists
• Liaise with workshop teams to ensure drawings are practical and efficient
• Revise and update drawings as required throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain drawing accuracy and documentation standards

Who We’re Looking For
• Experienced Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker looking to move into drafting, or
• An established draftsman with fabrication knowledge
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes
• Experience with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn and develop in a new role
• Experience in stainless steel and aluminium fabrication

If you’ve got solid fabrication experience and a good head for numbers, this is a genuine opportunity to transition into an estimating role with training and support provided.

You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates across a range of fabrication projects. Working closely with clients, suppliers, and the workshop team, you’ll help set jobs up for success from the outset.

Key Responsibilities
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope of works
• Prepare cost estimates including materials, labour, and subcontracting
• Liaise with clients and suppliers for pricing and clarification
• Support project handovers to ensure smooth ex*****on
• Continuously improve estimating accuracy and efficiency

Who We’re Looking For
• Experienced Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker looking to move into estimating, or
• An established estimator with fabrication knowledge
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes

This position would suit someone with experience in fabrication, laser cutting drafting, or estimating who enjoys working with drawings and helping turn customer concepts into finished jobs.
