09/06/2026

We are incredibly proud to be recognised as the 2026 Kenworth Legends at this year's Australian Trucking Association Conference.

For our family, this recognition means more than we can adequately put into words.

What started in 2004 as MGM Limestone, operating a small fleet of second hand Kenworth K104s and T604s hauling quarry and construction materials throughout Western Australia, was built on a simple belief: work hard, look after your people and deliver on your word.

We ran that business throughout the South west for many years until the time came to get back into the bulk haulage industry.

In 2014, MGM Bulk was established and secured its first major haulage contract with WA Salt. The project introduced a fleet of purpose built Kenworth K200 8x6 pocket road trains and marked the beginning of a new chapter for our business.

At the time, it was one contract.

Looking back now, it was the catalyst for everything that followed.

Over the next decade, we were fortunate to earn the trust of some of Australia's leading mining, resources and industrial companies. With every new project came new opportunities, new challenges and new people who helped shape the business along the way.

Today, MGM Bulk operates more than 220 Kenworth prime movers, over 1,000 pieces of trailing equipment and employs more than 800 people supporting operations across Western Australia.

Each year our fleet travels more than 42 million kilometres, moves in excess of 16 million tonnes of product and operates with more than 20,000 tyres on the ground at any one time while specialising in volume, systems and scale.

But numbers only tell part of the story.

This recognition is about the people behind them.

The operators driving through the night. The workshop teams keeping assets moving. The supervisors, schedulers, administrators and leaders who have helped build this business one day at a time.

It's about the customers who trusted us with their freight, the suppliers who backed our growth and the partnerships that continue to support our future.

Most importantly, it's about family.

The values that Mario, Giudi and Michael set out to build the business on more than two decades ago remain the same values that guide us today.

To Kenworth, PACCAR, CJD and Cummins, thank you for standing alongside us throughout the journey.

When you're operating equipment 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, across millions of kilometres and moving millions of tonnes, there is no such thing as a perfect product.

What matters most is the people behind it.

Over the years, we've worked together to overcome challenges, improve equipment, develop new solutions and continually raise the standard of what these trucks can achieve in some of the toughest operating environments in Australia.

The trucks have been a major part of our story, but the relationships behind them have been just as important.

For that, we are incredibly grateful.

To every employee, customer, supplier and supporter who has been part of the journey, thank you.

We are honoured to be recognised as the 2026 Kenworth Legends.

Calling all Perth based MC Operators.

In a market where consistency of work matters, certainty is hard to come by.

Through long term contracts and established client relationships, we’ve built a Perth operation designed to keep moving.

Operators are in the latest Kenworth models, purpose built for the task and maintained to a high standard.

This is long term, stable work backed by proper gear and a pipeline to support it.

If you’re looking for a change and want to step into something steady with the gear and work to back it, this is worth considering.

At McPhee Creek, the brief is simple. Move more tonnes, with less. That thinking sits behind the decision to bring a fleet of 982 XE loaders into the operation for Hancock Iron Ore, not as a change for the sake of it, but as part of a broader approach to how the job is built from the ground up.

Out here, the difference is rarely made in one moment. It shows up over time, in how consistently the operation performs across every shift. The equipment you choose plays a direct role in that. These machines are delivering up to 25 percent lower fuel burn, with the same reduction in emissions, while running at lower noise levels and extending service intervals out to 1000 hours. Over the life of a contract, that is where the real impact sits. Less fuel per tonne, fewer interruptions, and a more stable operation day in, day out.

On the ground, it comes back to how the machine carries itself through the cycle. There is a steadiness to it. The flow holds, loads are placed accurately, and the job can be repeated without variation creeping in across the shift. That kind of consistency is what allows an operation like this to scale without losing control of the detail.

For us, this is nothing new. The business has been built over generations on backing decisions that hold up over time. Being a family operation means the focus has always been long term, building relationships that are earned through performance and maintained by delivering the same standard every day.

Working alongside Hancock Iron Ore, and with the continued support of WesTrac Cat, this is what efficiency at scale looks like.

The work doesn’t stop when the trucks park up.

Behind every run is a workshop keeping the fleet moving 24 hours a day, seven days a week across the Northwest.

Episode Four of Heart of Haul features Michael Hansen from our Port Hedland workshop. Starting with light vehicle experience, Michael is now stepping into the heavy vehicle space as a mature age apprentice, working toward his Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

A short look at what it takes on the ground and the pathways available within the business.

In a market where fuel supply and operating conditions are becoming increasingly important, planning and partnerships matter.

At MGM Bulk, that’s been a focus for some time.

Through established relationships with tier one clients and secure fuel supply contingencies, we’ve built an operation designed to keep moving, regardless of external pressures. Across Western Australia, industry and government continue to prioritise critical sectors like transport and mining, ensuring continuity where it matters most.

That foundation allows us to focus on what’s ahead.

At MGM Bulk, we’re not building short-term workforces. We’re delivering long-term operations backed by investment, infrastructure and a clear pipeline of work.

Projects like McPhee Creek are purpose built from the ground up. New fleet, dedicated facilities and a workforce that continues to grow as the operation ramps up. This is not stop-start work. It’s structured, consistent and built to last.

As we continue to expand, opportunities are opening across the business.

We are currently seeking MC Operators, workshop personnel and support staff across multiple projects, with roles available now and into the future.

For those looking for reliability, strong team environments and confidence in where their next swing is coming from, this is the kind of opportunity worth considering.

Take a closer look at what we’re building at MGM Bulk.

As the dust settles across Whitby, the sunburn starts to fade and the gear rolls back into operation, you get a moment to step back and take in what the WA Mack Muster and Truck Show has become.

We were on site well before the gates opened.
Mid week, 37 degree heat, shovels in hand, laying out a trade space that would carry its weight come Sunday.

The MGM trade space sat at the bottom of the hill, finished with woodchip laid across the ground thanks to our valued partners at Wespine Industries. A small detail, but one that completely changed the feel of the space. Something different. Something that stood out.

Two quad road trains were brought in and lined up with the help of Bruce Rock Engineering. Movements like that don’t just happen. There’s planning, cost and coordination behind every metre those combinations travel just to sit still for a couple of days.

Around them, the brand new McPhee Creek fleet.
Prime movers, service trucks, buses & light vehicles.

Not just a display, but a picture of what’s coming next.

And sitting amongst it all, the R600 American Mack.

Three iterations deep and years in the making.
Finished with a final push from City Panel Beaters Truck Repairs Pty Ltd and rolled into position just in time.

Come Sunday, thousands of people moved through the space. Stopping, asking questions, taking photos. The team on the ground shaking hands, having conversations and telling the story behind the brand.

We were proud to stand as the naming rights partner of the Road Train Assembly Area, showcasing what this end of the industry looks like when it’s done properly.

To the WA Mack Muster committee and the volunteers behind it, events like this don’t come together without a serious amount of effort behind the scenes. What gets delivered on the day is only a fraction of what goes into it.

We look forward to showing up bigger and better in 2028.

Today we recognise and celebrate International Women’s Day.

Across MGM, we are proud to have many incredible women working within our business across administration, operations, maintenance and various leadership roles. Your professionalism, commitment and contribution play an important part in the success of our company every day.

We also want to acknowledge the many women behind the scenes.
Partners, wives, mothers, daughters and family members who support our team while they are away at work. The encouragement, understanding and strength you provide while loved ones are away from home plays a meaningful role in supporting our people and they work they do.

Today we thank and celebrate all the women who contribute to the MGM community in so many ways.

Didn’t catch the latest episode of Heart of Haul?

Across the Northwest, MGM operates the largest ultra quad road train fleet in Port Hedland, with close to 150 combinations hauling iron ore into Utah Point. Crews running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Nearly 500 people across drivers, maintenance and support keeping the system aligned.

Now McPhee Creek is underway. A 50% expansion of our Northwest operations, adding scale, capability and more than 150 new driver roles as production ramps toward ten million tonnes per year.

If you want to see what that growth really looks like on the ground, head to our YouTube channel via the link in our bio and watch the full feature.
