We have completed and tested the Hustler Raptor 42” cutting deck skin.
It is currently in a the Galvaniser’s.
As soon as we have it back we will post some photos and details.
We will apply some of the things we have learnt, whilst building and testing the Hustler deck, to our Toro Timecutter decks. We will post photos of the upgraded Toro decks as soon as we have them ready.

Here is our new JD L/LA/D series (and compatable) 48” ride on tractor cutting deck skin.
As promised, its multifit. ie it can be fitted to the tractor mowers that came with the 42” cable engaged cutting deck, or the 48” electric clutch engaged cutting deck. You will only need one extra spindle, 3blades, 3spindle pulleys and one idler pulley to complete the 42” to 48” conversion.

Whilst we have been waiting for parts to arrive for the Hustler 42” deck we are designing, we got back into finishing off the JD 48” ‘L/LA/D’ series and compatible cutting deck skin. We had been asked if a 48” deck would swap out on a 42” mower. Well we gave it a go, and it seems that with very little customising it is possible. The 48” decks run with an electric clutch, but we have fitted a mounting point to connect the cable/lever set up of the 42” decks to the belt tensioner. It seems to work well. So we have decided to make the 48” JD tractor mower decks multi-fit. So if you desire to put a 48” deck under your 42” mower, it can be done. We will post some photo’s as soon as it comes back from the Galvanisers.

Well, after another busy mowing season we are finally getting into a few new cutting deck models. We have a few coming to us over the next couple months, so for those who have been patiently waiting to bring us their mowers, give us a bell.
This is the first one dropped to us. A Hustler 42”.
And as seems to be the trend, a spindle torn clean out. The reason? Same as usual, a bent spindle shaft and damaged blade causing vibration, which then causes metal fatigue.
So a reminder to all, get under your mowers and check the condition of your blades and spindles before you have a catastrophic failure.
And if you hit something hard whilst mowing, stop and check it out. It wont take long for vibration to start eating away at your cutting deck.

We have been working through a list of orders recently, stopping us from adding anything new to our range of cutting decks.
So we thought we mite go way back to some very early projects of interest.
These are from the late 90’s. Photos of prints, so a bit fuzzy.
Here are some custom stainless pipes, ready to be dressed, for a father/son project. A ‘T’ bucket rod with a 350 chev in it,,, yes i know,,,
These were for show not go, hence not tuned length’s.
They merge into a 150mm stainless straight pipe that ran under the running boards and dumped in front of the rear wheels.
Sorry i dont have a pic of them fitted. We didnt walk around with phone cameras in our pockets in those days.
The day we fired that thing up in the workshop was the day i got Tinnitus,,,
