This experience served as a timely reminder of the importance of proper waterproofing, a lesson underscored by 15 years of water damage. At the time, waterproofing solutions were still relatively novel in Tasmania, with membranes and bandages having undergone significant advancements since. Notably, the project's scope exceeded initial expectations, necessitating a full strip out, replacement of the floor, and repair of rotten timber. Nonetheless, the outcome has been satisfactory.
