Trade Assistant – Fibreglass & Composites

Custom Fiber Creations is a fast-growing fibreglass and composites workshop specialising in custom tooling, 3D printing, mould making, plug building, vacuum infusion, and silicone bagging. We’re on the lookout for reliable, hands-on people—from total beginners to experienced workers—who want to be part of a tight-knit team that builds cool, high-quality parts.

The Role
You’ll work side-by-side with experienced fibreglass technicians and tradespeople, helping with:
• Plug making – shaping and preparing the base of a fibreglass mould
• Mould building – working with gel coat, fibreglass mat, and resin
• Silicone bagging – helping prep and assemble vacuum systems for resin infusion
• Vacuum infusion – laying up materials and helping with the infusion process
• Trimming, sanding, and finishing – making sure parts are clean, accurate, and high-quality
• General hands-on support – mixing materials, keeping tools clean, helping with lifting, etc.
You’ll get full on-the-job training if you're just starting out, or hit the ground running if you’ve got experience.

No Experience? No Problem.
We’re open to people who are:
• New to fibreglass or composites
• Keen to learn with a strong work ethic
• Like hands-on work, and working with tools
• Detail-focused and safety-conscious
• Reliable and able to work full-time
Experienced in fibreglass, composites, or general fabrication? You’ll jump straight into higher-level tasks.

Pay & Hours
• $27 – $45 per hour, depending on age, skill level, and experience
• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am – 1:30pm
• Overtime available occasionally
